It's amazing to think that in 1999 the original Star Wars was 22 years ago in 1977, which felt like an eternity ago at the time. Now we're in 2024 and we're 25 years away from 1999, and to me the late 90s and 2000s doesn't feel all that long ago. But I guess to kids or early 20s people it must feel like a long time ago.

I sat in my dentist’s chair in Portland Oregon. Everybody was acting odd. I noted this to them. The assistants all looked at the dentist and he blurbed out very in-dentist-like “Natalie Portman was sitting in THAT chair two minutes ago!!!”
