I personally think it was a team effort. I heard Foxy’s running and knocking, Bonnie and Chica’s breathing, Freddy’s lullaby, and finally, Golden Freddy’s roar.

This was a pretty sad scene, but I can’t get over the extremely monotone “Oh no”, it’s like the poor guy knew he was wasn’t going to make it out. He even preemptively asked you to go find his body before he died. It’s even more sad that he didn’t decide to call someone else like family and chose you, his only friend he never even met.

Edit: thanks for responding! I love hearing your theories / corrections (I made a mistake about the bite of 87 and 83) I’ll try to respond to the comments

I have a lot of respect for phone guy. He knew full well that there was a safe room on the premises, with a SPRINGLOCK SUIT inside that could make the animatronics lose all aggression towards him, and yet he chose to stay in that office and actually do his job.

In my opinion phoneguy was a god of the pizzeria and it took the 5 animatronics to attack him at the same time to kill him.
What an absolute gigachad

You know my favorite thing about phone guy was that he was normal. I remember back in the day when theories were on the loose and trying to figure out who he was. There were people even saying that he was the purple guy and crazy stuff like that.

But in the end, he just turned out to be just a dude who worked at a supernatural job, and survived for two whole locations (and possibly longer since he also made pre recorded messages that were found in part 3 telling people how to operate the springlock suits). He ended up just being a really REALLY loyal employee who unfortunately could not survive 4/20 mode. (A joke)

Even better was he must have been really trusted by henry to some degree if he knew how to operate the spring lock suits because back in the day, only really henry and william knew how to enter and exit the suits without becoming a human sarcophagus. So the fact that he knew how to operate well enough to train all other employee’s while henry took his absence and william was being a supervillain child killer scientist.

I kinda wish we got a game where he was the protagonist. It would be interesting to know how a genuinely good guy who loved the fredbear characters (he even goes to say that foxy is his favorite) fit in with such a dark and evil company. His tone has completely change from being a friendly employee to being a tired overworked one ready to leave his job (before he gets murdered) You could barely survive one weak, but this guy did it for years so it must’ve taken its toll…. Why am I ranting about my love for the phone guy?

Edit:After a short study I can confirm that people have a fear of reading short paragraphs

Edit: A moment of silence for the poor people who read at a 6th grade level and feel the need to announce it publicly. 💀

Edit:Why can’t you mute comments? Im tired of getting replies lol. Lets leave on a high note. For those of you who found my stupid comment about the god damn phone guy who is probably the smallest part of the fnaf lore in general and actually began having interesting discussions in the chat then awesome! I like seeing when people can be nerdy and have fun talking about this stuff. If you found this post and did not enjoy its length then I at least owe you split text and finally…

TL;DR: …. I like the phone guy.

My final edit! Goodnight everybody! wish the best for everyone! Hope you had fun whether it was discussing theories or just roasting my wall of insignificant text. And btw, the 4/20 part was a joke not meant to be taken seriously lore wise.

i love the idea of 5 chuck-e-cheese mascots tag teaming on a middle-aged guy

You're right about the chica thing in my book, but here's 1 thing.
The scream MUST HAVE been Golden Freddy. And since we know Golden Freddy is very detatched from physical reality, and is technically a ghost, we can safely say that Golden Freddy isn't the culprit, probably errored the call and ended up self-hanging up the phone.

You gotta love the phone guy. He’s been with the company for so long and actually survived 2 locations. I like to think he stayed just so he could help the night shift guard and not let them become another victim

What really got me about the phone call was how blankly he said, “Oh, no.” He must’ve known he was going to die.

I think it was Golden Freddy. Freddy’s music box was from the kitchen as we hear knocking as Freddy’s music box plays. Bonnie couldn’t have
been as phone guy had to close
the door because foxy was knocking. Also, Foxy’s knocking means that he
couldn’t have killed him. Chika’s Kill sound it exactly like Bonnie’s and we hear a lower pitch. If you’ve heard golden Freddy’s sound, its identical which means phone guy died because he was low on power, both doors were closed as
bonnie, freddy, and chika were attacking, and he got a chance of golden freddy and didnt know how to deal with him.

If we look at how the office works in Help Wanted, the doors are a bit behind the security guard, we have the following:

- He was close to the monitors, solely focused in recording his last message, not focusing elsewhere.

- The west door was closed, Foxy or Bonnie were banging into it, possibly both.

- Freddy's tune is playing which means he's either in the kitchen or the right door, where he usually gets in

- We can hear the animatronic's breathing.

So my theory goes as following:
Phone guy locked the West Hall door after watching Foxy becoming increasingly more active and agitated, Bonnie and Chica were possibly close, and Chica probably didn't let him close the East Hall door, he then got up and went on to record his final message, staring at the monitors in front of him, Freddy played his tune in the kitchen, and while he was looking at the monitor, Chica got in, you can hear her breathing as he says "Oh no."

ngl i always loved phone guy. he was one of my favorite characters. he was just an employee at a pizza place for kids, nothing super interesting or convoluted about him, just a guy. as someone else here said, he was also loyal to the franchise as he knew how to handle the springlock suits.
i think what really made me like him was the DSaF trilogy. they made the various phone men feel like -phone- people. you'll either have to play the games yourself or watch others play them because i can't really explain it, but they have actual importance and lives and memories. the third game really made me love them, though, with the grand _good_ ending.
seeing phone guy represented as a relatively normal guy kind of made me empathize with him, and made me feel actually sad listening to his death in fnaf 1. (although a major part in ny sadness was that he had no way of fighting back and had to accept he was gonna die, there was nothing to do. also, he had to tell some stranger he will never meet to check the animatronic suits after he dies, just to make sure someone acknowledges his corpse. sad stuff really)

Are we going to ignore the fact that I can barely handle one animatronic and yet the phone guy was able to take all 5 for a while, truly a legend

I think any attack from the west door is completely possible. Freddy only plays his lullaby when the power goes out as a precaution to keep the kids calm and entertained. In the gameplay also only plays this theme when you’ve run out of power. Meaning the doors can’t be power locked, as there is no power to, well, keep them locked.

It should be all of them. Foxy was banging on the door like when you stop him from entering the office, bonnie and chica were groaning which happens when they're IN THE OFFICE, the torreador march, aka freddy's song, was playing, and then golden freddy made his iconic roar after phone guy said "oh no."

The fact that phone guy understood the fact about the remenant, the stuffings, and (I genuinely found this sad) the fact he knew he was gonna die shows he is an amazing dedacated employee that was killed by his favourite thing which is the worst part. It’s a shame he got murdered by his bosse’s friend’s creations though, I love phone guy it’s a shame that his body wasn’t found either

The more I think of it I feel like fnaf was always destined to be popular, markplier and a bunch whole other amazing youtuber sped it up but fnaf has such cool concept that almost non of the games have today

This makes sense since she was the first one to be killed that’s why in one of her voice lines in fnaf two she says “I was the first I have seen everything “
