I honestly stumbled on him and we duked it out. Won the swordfight, but hella confused afterwards

This game looks like it’s 10 years old especially the way the scaffolding broke and most of the animations!

His parry window is disastrously tiny, so I often go through a few elixirs trying to get the timing right, but I managed to get it once on the first try with the Sand Dagger and proceeded to kill him in one combo (which ended in a very cinematic takedown and Basim sheathing his sword with a flare).

If you want to fight him the "legit" way hear this out
Keep distance from the mercenary because doing this will cause him to run at you and almost everytime it will attack you with a parryable attack
After parried, attack him with light attacks 1 TIME, otherwise he will defend himself with a unblockable attack
Dodge his knives if he throws some
Repeat the process
At a point he will heal but dont worry just parry him 1 or 2 more times and do a finisher

You can also give the noisemaker a fiery explosion and just use one on him and kill him so easily

I hate and love this game so much right now it’s like playing dark souls and I’m actually impressed how the ai improvements are very visible in this game. There’s nothing better than reloading my save 800 times to ‘not kill anyone’ requests just to figure things out. Idk maybe I’m just slow 😅

I use poison smoke bombs, he coughs.. and can assassinate him😅

I ran into one and defeated him without knowing he was a mercenary. I was disappointed when I looted him. No special reward lol

Just a simple observation people ask for an assasin and they just fight without the sword u get and rpg and you want an assasin 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
