I actually cut off a whole friend group because of a situation like this. Two friends came to school with the same hair color except one told me before. The other one called her a copycat behind her back and the rest of the group believed her because she had been around longer. It was really sad. She just wanted to look like us. We stayed friend's into adulthood.
