Juliet's journey spans over 30 years in urban design, master planning, and sustainable community development across Washington State. For the past five years, Juliet has deepened her understanding as a student of astrology and shamanic traditions, enriching her role as a guide and mentor.

Passionate about integrating urban systems with the wisdom of nature, Juliet explores how communities can thrive within the boundaries of our planet. Her work centers on developing regenerative urban landscapes and nature-based infrastructure that honor and support all forms of life.

Juliet's journey draws strength from her connection to her Quechuan/Colombian roots, infusing her teachings with indigenous wisdom and a holistic approach to community development. Her vision extends beyond sustainable infrastructure, envisioning cities that harmonize with the Earth's natural rhythms and planetary boundaries.

Juliet holds a professional degree in Architecture and certificates in urban design, Transition Towns and Biomimicry for Social Innovation

Thank you for sharing about the important work you are doing to heal the Earth and human ancestral trauma. Healing this connection with nature and restoring indigeneity to our way of living is vital to this time.

I related also to the part about your heritage and how all of us hold darkness and light from our ancestors. My father is from Kerala, India and my mother's parents were European-Americans from the Deep South in this country. My last name means someone who works with the Earth, employing others to work on it. However that (paternal) family had to leave Goa when the Portuguese arrived bringing the Inquisition in the 16th century. The fact that I know this still highlights what you said about how 200 years ago is not long. It isn't.

Even more recently, some of my maternal family ancestors certainly enslaved people, also while working the Earth. I am probably related to some of the descendants of the formerly enslaved people as well.

We have to restore the truth that we are one in humanity and one as Earthlings, too. We're part of one organic process. We can only be truly healed as a whole being.

Juliet and Heather it’s so important to honor this evolving consciousness awareness of our real historic truth. We the people created the erosion of our human connection to nature. The effects of conquering others with intent to dominate, disrupt and destroy cultural and natural regional balance for power or gain also destroyed the natural cycles of all life on this planet. Ultimately, we all need to recognize and shift that harmful idea that monetizing earth’s natural resources as a commodity is just the way things are, because we can see the consequences of apathy. We can come back into right relationship with urban, suburban planning programs like Juliet and Heather are speaking about, as well as, in all types of land or sea communities. All groups of peoples, as citizens of our world, need to heal ancestral and present day traumas. Indigenous tribal first people’s cultural wisdom around the globe are powerfully leading the way in clean water rights, restoration of rivers, fighting for the salmon’s survival or the beaver and the restoration of the right relationship to mother earth. Blessings to all. Thank you Heather and Juliet.🌎🌳🌍💦🌏

Yes it is so difficult to hear about the tribe and the killing of the horses.
Also the gratitude of our being with Mother Earth, so beautiful as we are close as I live on a small island on Gabriola Island BC Canada

Thank you both... Juliet is living my dreams for the world. I also have a degree in urban planning and environmental design 40 years ago but leaned into community development since the world was not ready yet. Love love love !!!

Thank you Juliet & Heather. Growing up with our grandparents living in a "Gartenstadt", a concept that is assumed to have come from Ebenezer Howard from Uk in 1899, but sadly most of this particular project is gone due to new motorways, I am glad to hear that there is a revival of conscious "urban" planning integrating naturalore/nature as having a right to BE... so looking forward that all beings are integrating in "urban" planning...all the best to you for your projects! Kindest, blu.

Blessings & love to both of you! So thankful in knowing that we have you all as guides while going through this cycle of life. On a small note while listening to this discussion & as a horse lover, my 💔 is completely 💔 knowing this history. I suppose it's just another layer of trauma that is in need of healing.

Wonderful. Forward thinking. Wish it had come sooner to constrain urban development that cuts down trees to build on good arable land. How can this be established in New Zealand? I saw my lovely old home town ruined by urban so called devopment.togress?? No the opposite. Thank you for sharing. Awesome!! ❤

Car dependency is the number one killer of healthy financially stable urbanism. Unfortunately the car companies own the railways in the US and keep rail travel at a dismal standard to make money and more suburbs.

I keep hoping they will say the name of the place she lives and works, and the name of the tribes there. Is it conscious that this is not spoken? Sounds like the West with salmon and horses, but moose are eastern, in my experience . Is there a reason to keep it hidden?

Earth had her plan long before we got here. We thought we could form and demand from her and she is proving that we didn’t listen when we should have and now her journey is interrupting ours.
