Exactly. I know TOO MANY PEOPLE who CANNOT take being called on something that THEY'RE DOING that's BLATANTLY WRONG. They turn on you and call YOU the wrong doer!!!

To most people "Don't judge me" = "Don't tell me something i don't want to hear"

People who say we shouldn’t judge are judging me for judging. Hypocrisy for the win, amirite?

I just read this passage this evening and now I understand it even more than I did when I first read it. Thankyou for sharing!

Really appreciate your openness and sincere holding to the Scriptures. Keep on keeping on!

After all, we literally have to make judgements in order to "judge" something good and Godly, or sinful and wrong. Also, our "judgements" are not truly what upsets them, but rather, it is the Holy Spirit telling them they are doing something wrong, and they are rebelling against His warning.

My wife and her brother just had an escalated discussion over this so thank you for the clarity.

Ugh, I get so tired of people using this incorrectly. I talked about it in my Bible study once, and other commonly misused passages. I'll be looking forward to seeing which other ones you cover.

Been teaching this Matt passage in full context for over 52 YEARS SIS. Like. So many take out of context . Like scripture says "THERE IS NO GOD" but what are the words before it? Lol. "THE FOOL SAYS IN HIS HEART..." TY SIS

Its about making sure you are judging righteously. In order to do so, you first must judge yourself, many times we see in others, what we fail to see in ourselves... Our plank is usually blocking our ability to simply see it. We need to examine ourselves and then we can help someone else with the same thing.

If Christians never passed judgement and never called out others on their sinful nature, THEY’D NEVER GET RIGHT!

The thing is that nobody likes being called out on their BS.

If we used the misrepresented Bible verse the way others use it, we couldn’t be judgmental against rapists, sexual abusers, murderers, etc.

Thank you!! They leave out the part with your will be judged by the standard you judge. We also are told we will know them by their fruits. So we are to use discernment. I have this convo so often. Explaining it is not love to not warn another they are bound for hell. If you love someone you tell them how to be saved.

That is often used in extreme charismatic circles to gag people who critize unbiblical behavior.

And then they will say, “nobody’s perfect “

Thank you 😊 Gods speaks on good and bad judgement and to be aware of ourselves. I am so happy that you spoke truth and clarity on this verse and further on in the passage.

If someone says, “Do not judge, lest you be judged” you could respond, “Do not twist Scripture, lest you be like Satan.”

I judge this to be an accurate assessment of that Biblical passage. 🔨 ⚖️
