My company used Leafs for a few years . Build quality and battery were terrible. Company switched to Chevy Bolts and the Bolts are 100% better. Avoid a Nissan leaf

Hey just wanted to let you know that the Chevy equinox ev is having some crazy lease deals in nj depending on which rebates you qualify for my neighbor just got 2 of the 2rs trim and paid $6, 900 one time payment for each for 36mo/10k miles (they had a Chevy bolt) I got quoted 7200 one time payment for 36/10 on a 2Lt since I didn’t have the bolt it was a little more but that price is including a current lease in the house hold a medical professional and the Gm card so yea maybe look into it some crazy deals fr‼️‼️‼️(oh and I forgot to mention the dealer said if I had a bolt which I don’t 😢 it would’ve been 5200 for 36 months thats highway robbery 💀) also keep in mind I called every dealer in my area I spoke to about 12 dealerships to finally get down to this price it took me the whole day lol

It has the worst EV battery of its time. It's air cooled just like the original Leaf that came out in 2012 which means it will overheat and freeze worse than a liquid cooled EV. The overheating causes the battery to degrade.
You can (easily) swap a new Nissan Leaf battery into that first gen Leaf and you'd have a fully working long range 10 year old Leaf. The only way to get me in a Leaf is to buy a totalled 2023 long range and repurpose its battery into an old degraded Leaf that I bought for cheap. You also need a heated/cooled garage to help keep the battery temperature in optimal conditions.

it takes me about 8-9 hours to fully charge a SV Plus on level 2.
After 70k miles it's still showing no battery degradation. And It has an 8-year/100, 000-mile battery warranty.

Got a $59 leaf in Colorado out the door, nothing down, Fees, taxes included in that payment. No brainer on my end. Ariya is 159 out the door which is the absolute Better vehicle for sure but I wanted the cheapest thing possible. Like mentioned in the vehicle I would only lease it not buy the leaf.

Great video Ari! Could you make a video on the Armenia vs Azerbaijan conflict? It could lead to a world war. Hindu India has been constantly supplying Christian Armenia with arms at affordable prices while Muslim Azerbaijan is buying arms from Muslim Turkey. The Azerbaijani leader has flown to Pakistan and has publicly pledged support to Pakistan on the Kashmir issue and effectively taken sides against India. Things are turning spicy. I know you discuss cars but just throwing this out there as a topic!
