It's a pretty cool experience to have hand pick these cars at the auction while in japan. To now see them at the port and drive it back to the Waybeforethefame Garage.

You guys are awesome! Thanks for watching out for me! Sooo engine is upgraded/swapped because they converted it to manual tranny. Center gauges are aftermarket, there's a lot of subtle updates and you can absolutely take it for a spin! I find it amusing that it was parked next to a bunch of fire trucks too!

The red and white Mini Cooper is perfect.

Although maybe not the original motor, that is an A series engine as fitted to the original minis. If it has two extra head fixings (left and right ends) it likely a 1275 cc (78 cu in) motor and looks like it has been tuned. The Kent Cams sticker on the aftermarket, alloy rocker cover plus whatever carb' is lurking under that awful looking air filter suggests that is the case.
Although an ancient design they are still used in motor sport and can be tuned to give well over 100 bhp. If it means anything to you, the mini Cooper S won the Monte Carlo Rally 3 times (getting 'fiddled' out of one win by the organisers). The French were always convinced they were cheating somehow!

Those two AMGs are very rare, especially that AMG wagon.

You get some good JDM bargains in the UK mate. And some unlikely vehicles at that. Look up The car zoo (the car warehouse) in Middlesbrough in the UK. You’ll love it!

Google lens app has a translation feature. You point your camera at a text & it'll translate to English.

I used it on something I was putting together that only had Chinese instructions.

A woman in our town has a Mini Pickup truck. She uses it on her farm to haul hay & brings it to our local car show yearly.

She absolutely loves it & she said build quality is awesome.

When she has it at the car show she allows people to sit in it check it out and take pictures.

How tf do people get cars newer than 1999?

This is probably what happens to those abandoned cars. I went to a dealer who does jdm imports south of Jackson Ms. I asked how they get their inventory. They state that they buy them in bulk from rejected vehicles people refused to accept at a discounted price. Sounds like those very same vehicles you got at your port.

Did the canister fix the gas issue on the Mira?

Gonna toss this out there, but I want a Smart Roadster when they age in to the imports.

Defender & Lotus on British plates. The mini Mayfair was either made in 1.0 or 1.3 from 84 to 86 they are a British Leyland mini. From launch in 59 company had many different names I worked for them when Rover 91 to 05. The Red 1 I'm guessing it's a later car the very last were all 1.3 & either just a mini or a mini cooper. In Top gear when Clarkson Hammond & May went to India Hammond's mini was 1 of the very last. The Canvas Convertible Jimny from launch 99 to 09 all Convertibles we're made by Santana for Suzuki . Santana also made all Suzuki Samurai & Vitara Convertibles & also Landrover Series & defender models. They are a Spanish contract car manufacturer same as Nedcar in the Netherlands building all mini models but not Hatch that's made here in England & same as Magna Steyr in Austria making Mercedes G-wagons A-class & BMW Z4 & Toyota Supra .

I really want a Midget 2 in a bad way.

Sorry, but Mendy's Midget is better. The cargo is just better. It has more use. I mean, where would you put groceries and such? I mean, it's still a Midget and I would love to have it, but the other is better. Can you install something to lower the window on the left? You didn't show the Viewt? Ah... Looking forward to new content! Also, you should link to the other people that are selling what they get at the port. I saw you went 110 km on the Midget. Is that sustainable? Oh, can you imagine making the Midget turbo !?!? :D :D :D

Fire trucks with "Lots of bells and whistles"? Yup, that's how fire trucks work....

Today I learned that Ohio will accept later model Kei trucks. They have a special category for them. No telling if other states will take an Ohio title. My experience with California was I couldn’t buy an out of state vehicle and register it there but if someone moved to CA they could bring their “illegal” vehicles in and later sell them. I’ll bet those late models are going to Ohio. You can’t “pop the hood” on a Mini. It’s called the bonnet.
