Tori went back to Cobra Kai for many reasons. She wanted to win the Sekai-Taikai as the Captain for her mom and Daniell didn’t want to let her fight. She also wanted to repress the pain she felt and Cobra Kai‘s moto is literally «Pain does not exist in this dojo». I get that this is backwards character development, but in her situation she felt like it was her only option. And she knew that the circumstances from last time (her having to break the stone template and basically promising to give her live to Cobra Kai) wouldn’t repeat themselves, because Creese was still kind of looking out for her.
In her eyes she really didn’t have a choice.

Miguel and Robby have the best arcs. Miguel going from a loser to a badass. And Robby has my favorite arc personally, going from a bad kid in season 1 to a competant Miyagi Do fighter. To breaking Miguel's spine. (was it broken? maybe just damaged) To finding his chill and making up with Miguel and now they're brother's in law and he's the most nonchalant dude in the series?? Favorite character.

I think the writers are trying to show in part 1 how greed can harm relationships. With the Sekai Taikai coming up, everyone is trying to get prepared for it. But when it was announced only 6 fighters could participate, everyone is doing whatever they can to get their shot at the tournament. At least that’s what I think.

I actually thought that putting in the part that Mr.Miyagi had this dark past of being criminal was an interesting concept. Because it shows that Danny held him in high regard and saw him as this infallible and perfect person but in reality he was just as human and as flawed as everyone else. It shows that he made mistakes and wasn’t perfect and that his mistakes made him the person he later became. He probably wanted Daniel to learn that nobody is perfect not even him.

I’m sure Mr. Miyagi was a stupid and reckless person when he was young and I’m sure he regretted what he did and tried making up for it. I get why people might not like that but I hope that in part 2 they expand on that more.

I totally agree about Miguel being captain hawk not being in he original 6 and Kenny not being in bro was arguably the main character of season 5 and he’s not even going to the senkai takai. Also I think krease going into the Korean jungle and also returning to America to see Tory for 1 day is kinda weird

The reason Tory went back to Cobra Kai is so she can win for her mom, she knows Cobra Kai’s bad but is only there to win than she’s gone

Miguel doesn’t need to win all the time, and the show didn’t start with Miguel it started with Johnny

Also there’s gotta be more to Miyagi’s past than what part 1 told us

I think that Robby fits the role better than Miguel since the captain role is supposed to be given to the student who represents miyagi-do the best

Robby is probably the best person to be captain since he has the best record of being a leader. Though I see Robby getting hurt since Tory is in Cobra Kai he is not going to be focused and he might get hurt, leading to Miguel to take over.

I’ve never been this devastated about a misunderstood kid who the main characters antagonized re-joining the bad guys since Zuko betrayed his uncle. Or maybe I’m just behind on some really good stuff that did the same thing.

many people were theorizing that kreese’s allegations would drop after silver being the real convict. but they never said that and just make it seem like kreese is just walking around in broad daylight as a wanted man
