Atkins will do nothing again this winter

Atkins traded Moreno but didnt extend Jansen or pickup a decent young catcher. He chose to give a roster spot to a one dimesional hitter in Vogelback and sent Horowitz to the minors. He had no depth arms in the minors to cover any forseeable injuries in the bullpen. He had zero vision for the team this season and instead pivoted to guys like IKF, Kiermaier and Votto to fill in gaps that should have been addressed with better players. Atkins is the issue with this team and his tendancies to gaslight the fans makes it worse. Sure he made some trades that brought in top 20 prospects in the Jays but that because they no prospects. None of the guys he traded for are top 100 MLB prospects. Atkins was gifted with 2 generational hitters when he got his first GM job and he took both of them to arbitration and has failed to extend either of them. Franchise players of Guerrero and Bichettes talent is rare to draft and even more rare to lose. Atkins is a rookie GM that is unqualified and needs to go. Its not a small sample size.

I feel Pop is too risky, he is not a reliable reliever, I would keep Swanson, Chad Green would be an alternate 7the-8th inning guy, keep Romano let him recover, and yes, bring in some other arms and maybe Jimi Garcia will re-sign, he liked it here. As for position players, sadly Davis needs to re-tool, and the kids looked really good this past 6 weeks...I feel pitching is our weakness, especially relief.

If you trade Bo now you will not get as much for him. You should understand why Bo wants to leave the Blue Jays Organization. Lets be honest Rogers organization is not stable They ship Guriel Jr and Teoscar out probably because they were up for multi year contracts for around 80 million And Rogers organization seems not to want to commit at this time to hitters at multi year contracts at around 80 million $s total amount or greater And Bo sees this and wished Rogers organization committed to him and Vlad Teoscar and Guriel Jr previously for multi year multi million contracts. But they did not, have not and I think they will not. That is why Bo justifiably wants to leave and get a big contract from another more fair organization that wants to give him a long term and fair multi million $ contract

The Jays probably know more about Bo and his personal issues. Everyone saw Bo's lack of interest this year, his head was not in his batting and then injuries began. The Jays if they haven't already need to sit down with him and tell him he is important to club. The fans have beat him up badly and have obviously shaken him. I would like to see him back and if he has his game back extend him.

If Atkins returns then we all know that this year was dictated by Shapiro. Atkins continues to be a yes man. If that is indeed correct both must go.

Bo had a bad attitude game one with bad at bates and lack luster defense. Bo 100% gone. Davis Schneider won't be back, don't know why is still playing, I hope John Schneider is gone he is just does not have a plan and players do not want to play for him. Vlad will get a contract that will be to much for a first baseman. Soto will not be a Jay. They might try to get Teo back but he wants to play out field not DH.
