Someone mentioned Bulgaria in a video. Someone actually mentioned us. Even showed a map.

-Cries in Bulgarian-

On a more serious note, a wonderful video, Simon! I've been following this channel for a couple of years now. You've been a wonderful source of interesting knowledge.

I'm American and I love hearing the history of Europe. Were not all guns and freedom. Although I am but I'm also a lover of culture.

Simon, I live in the Welsh village with the long name! It was nice to see us mentioned in one of your videos PS you should have tried pronouncing it 😉

Romania also has an abandoned village that’s been submerged due to a toxic lake. Very interesting

Technically the sun has still not set on the British Empire. Britain still owns enough small islands round the world (e.g. Pitcairn Island) that it is always daylight somewhere in the remains of the Empire.

Another interesting fact regarding the Statue of Liberty welcoming people to the USA is actually one of three identical statues. The largest of the three is the most famous one in New York harbor

The nice folks at the train station call it (phonetically) "Lan-fair". Being able to say the whole name is one of those, 'let me get the lady who does that' things when you visit.

You may also call that place in Wales Llanfair PG, I’ve read that the English call the place that. When I was on holiday, I visited the place and the only thing spectacular about it is the name. It has a trainstation but you have to book ahead because it has no train office, it is also a Callantsoog station so you have to wave to the traindriver to make it stop. However underwhelming it may be, it is very cool to have visited this famous place.
