Titan, since I first read about you an article in a HAAS revue a few years back I noticed that you became the CNC Messiah. I admire your life path and your sense of humor. Be Blessed and Happy around your family and friends and all the CNC students that you have around the world. Thank you for your Generosity.

I purchased a used machine and I'm working my way through the training. Once I'm comfortable, I'll consider hosting a small group at my shop or at the local maker space. I've always felt one of the best ways to really learn something is to try and help someone else who may be coming at it from another angle or with a different background or goals.

Your doing it Titan. This is what our industry needs, awareness, a generation has grew up with no knowledge of manufacturing. The benefit it brings to whatever country you live in. You are making something that adds value. The aerospace industry alone is planning to double the amount of planes in the air, we need manufacturing. You were asking what else does the academy need.
I think it needs some on quality, cmm in process inspection, gauging equipment.
It also needs talk about planning, how to think about a job, Eg twin pallet, lights out.
It also needs some on different Mills, vertical horizontal, 5 axis rotary table etc etc.
I know they program the same and axis the same but people are not aware of this.
Plus cost is a topic machine owners will want, how to optimise, best tools for life of job etc.
We machinists know and take for granted these things but others need to know.
Also does the academy have forum, like where machinists all over could post blogs of problems, and success stories, and this will self build and we will all lift up together man.
I love our industry I get to make coos stuff on big expensive machines, and I wish others felt the same. Keep the content coming man, once the revolution of industry starts they will be hungry for more.

I'm so glad I found your page as a resource. I'm on my journey to start a shop and have been away from the trade for over 6 years. It's very inspiring to see that I can re-learn and will have the opportunity to share the knowledge to change the culture of the trade once I get off the ground. Hoping I can open a Bay Area chapter in the near future - Thank you! (P.S. starting "building blocks" next week!)

The best advice I ever got was 'learn a trade son'and I went into machine shop...every day I learn something new even though im doing this a while...I think titan know where his heart is putting his investment into education and training.you are a good man may God bless you in your future endeavors

I train graduated engineers to become cnc milling machinists. Behind the pc they can do everything, that's true, but it would also help a lot if the basics are there.
I started off with a Deckel Fp1 and Fp3 to get the hang of it. 20 years later and here I am...Boom! Maybe I'm just priviledged to have gone through that era. The conventional way.

Posting this before I watch; thank you so much for everything. My life doesn't directly involve cnc or machining at all, but the way you present the topic, the way you delve in to talking about your personal issues and struggles you've faced (first video I saw of yours was losing the $100 million contract story), and how candid and passionate you are about life in general and machining is absolutely inspiring. If I can find out how I can get educated regarding machining and get any experience, I am doing so as fast as I possibly can. Hopefully I am able to come across an opportunity to do so. Sadly, this really doesn't seem like one of those things that I can do independent research and learn at home about since that would require investing in a CNC machine of my own, which I most certainly am not able to do.

Again, thank you. Even if I'm not able to get educated or experienced with machining, I will always be looking for a way to do so until I am actually able to. Fingers crossed.

Now time to watch and feel the need to annoy you with another lengthy comment of some sort most likely.

It is amazing what you are doing. Only three Questions:
1. What is your Numerical Control, what are you using in your New DMG-MORI DMU-50?
2. What is your Opinio about HEIDENHAIN NC? Do you think that is the Best NC that exist in the WORLD?
3. Is in your Plans, CHANGE all yours HASS MACHINE to DMG-MORI MACHINE?

I'm super excited about this I'm a mechanic and Maryland and I want to become an automotive machinist to build high-performance engines but I have had no idea how to start learning Machining this looks like it will be a great inroad

I love what you are doing.
You're taking this trade onto the next level with great effort to give everyone the opportunity to create.
I do 5 axis milling (not simultanious) and cadcam on a daily bases (Edgecam) . I 'm following/participating purely for the splendid way you guys explain how to use Fusion 360 and can't wait to get to the simultanious bit.
Thinkin about having a chat with my boss to switch to Fusion :)

This is absolutely amazing! I just started at my first machine shop job as an inspector. Is there plans to incorporate the inspecting process to your video tutorial series? I’m trying to learn more about the CMM machine and the PC-DMIS Program! How to program at an elite level for the company I work for. BOOM! 💥

Titan Gilroy....May our Father continue too bless u...yr family and yr company in Messiahs name...so be it/Amen...We share a very similar story bro...Worked 11 years in the Aerospace Industry with one company creating servo Valves/sleeves and pistons .000020 mill straight and round with a clearance between Sleeve and piston anywhere from .0002-.000080 mill clearance...I specialized in Lap Fitting/Honing/deburing and conventional grinders and sinker EDM...money was good so i never really took the time to learn CNC nor MasterCam by myself...i was interested but nobody in the company would want to teach me...they would tell me that I would need to go to school bcuzz that's how they learned...I figured...they was just afraid to show anybody bcuzz they feared to be exploited...I now currently work in a die and mold shop for the last year...and once again this dude doesnt want to show me anything on the CNC...only simple things like...load/unload...fixture set ups...etc...I recently came back to yr site and noticed what is mentioned in this video and man...I am so happy to see that theres a class happening in Ontario California....as of now Ive downloaded MasterCam and going through yr classes...at first...maybe 2 years ago i was put off yr site bcuzz it only had Fusion and I needed MasterCam...Thank You so much brother....even though i dont know u personally and sometimes I think I do bcuzz we come from the same place...brother I Love You from the bottom of my heart man...Stay up...Keep the faith...and keep fighting for what is righteous....I Love You Brother....

Titan I've been a machinist for over 15 years I've recently moved from ohio were I working in a highly efficient ITAR manufacturing facility in ohio. I now live in mississippi and I am working for a manufacturer specializing in parts for the Navy and they are very sceptical to my ideas of being able to machine their parts faster and better and tips on how to go about this.
