I'll show you how I download my product sales data to make data-informed decisions. I use Google Sheets and Google Data Studio which are both free products.

If my gut tells me one thing, but the numbers aren't there, it's time to try something new!

* I'm working hard to sell on TpT but the stuff I'm trying right now hasn't paid off yet.

* My last few products haven't sold at all and I feel like giving up.

* My TpT product views are down and my TpT sales are down as well...

Now what?

It's back to basics!

As a teacherpreneur business, I need to look at my data to figure out what's working and what's not.

The TpT Dashboard is great... but it's hard to quickly compare conversion rates between different products. So I download my data so I can visualize it in ways that the TpT dashboard doesn't do, yet.

For my top 10 products, I can quickly see:

* How much each product made

* How many units were sold

* How many times people viewed the product page

* The conversion rate (as a percentage) for that product (during that week)

* The conversion rate (earnings made per page view) so I can see which pages make the most money on my Teachers Pay Teachers store.

Since Jan 2020, I've been downloading my TPT Product Sales Data as a CSV. I then use a custom-made Google Data Studio page to quickly visualize how my top products are doing.

This is PART 1, where I show you how to download the data yourself from your TpT store for free! No Virtual Assistants (VAs) required! You don't need to share your TpT username and password with anyone!

All true....but you need to be careful with data...it doesn't tell the whole story. Sometimes a great product doesn't sell because it's presented incorrectly or because the offer is not written in a clear manner. Sometimes the product just needs more meat and structure to it. So it's important to get other teachers' feedback on the product and see what adjustments need to be made. Try to figure out what’s wrong. Why is it not converting? That’s how you learn to make good selling products. Don’t just focus on what works…you don’t grow from this strategy. You might get a few quick sales, but in the long run you’re better off understanding what needs to be done to get better.

Jumping in here to echo the requests for the tutorial on how to build the dashboard with Google Data Studio. I would love to be able to do that, and I'm happy to download my data daily to make it work!
(For 2022, I set a goal of capturing a screenshot of the "popular now" searches on TpT, and it was very easily to build the habit of doing so every time I sat down at my computer.)

well...I can just dream of the nearly $1800 you got for October...I'm in my 4th year, and I made a whopping $77.58.
And it's not like I'm not trying... I took a course a while back... I didn't pay too much, but it was a waste of money. Then I took a course in August. I loved the course, and I love to make the resources we learned how to make, but hardly anybody looks at them. There is not much point in making them one after the other, so that was kind of a waste of money too. Now I've paid for a more expensive course, hoping that I can learn a few tricks. I'm not overwhelmed so far, and I'm about 1/3 of the way through. It was $200. The example of how to make a worksheet looked worse than my very first attempt to make my own...
I'm updating covers and thumbnails and adding long-overdue previews. My biggest problem is that I get hardly any views... I have 13 views on my latest product, and I posted it nearly three weeks ago.
I have a product that I put up for free for a few weeks. I added extra pages to it and charged $1.5, and it seems like it never existed... nobody looks at it anymore.
