I like her attitude. They are HER marines and sailors. She sees them as under her care during this time. Highly commendable.

The tone in the dude's voice when he said "but there's a VARIETY of condiments" was hilarious.

That’s awesome, I work a ten hour day at a lumber yard and when I get home I give my wife a break from the kids and I make dinner and have them help. We love to eat and we love our deer meat, I can’t stand seeing food go to waste. We even do breakfast for dinner one night every week. My kids are 4, 5 and 6 and they help with everything right down to dishes. They also have no internet or cable tv, I’m raising them the same way I grew up, get outside and play or shoot bow or BB gun. Love my family, and thank you to all who serve and did serve. My family gets to sit down and eat every night in peace because of you…😊😊😊

My grandpa was head chef on his boat in Vietnam, he even played guitar in the ships band and helped maintenance the guns sometimes. He doesn’t talk about the war much but I can tell he worked hard in and out of duty, I have so much respect for him and all the other soldiers who protect us :)

Mess duty is no joke on ship. The place needs to be spotless at the end of the night.

Nothing but respect and admiration here for the galley crews of US Navy ships. They kept this old jarhead well fed. I never had a bad meal on board any ship I was on.

Get little in return.

I worked galley in the Navy.

The in civilian life thought it would translate well in restaurants. First place was French which had a former military chef, a lot of ppl complained on how rough it was, but it felt natural to me.

It wasn’t until I went into normal restaurants did I realize that most kitchens are unorganized and inefficient. Way too many egos and confused objects.

I'll admit the Omelette bar was what kept me going for those 5 years.
