I was in review for monetization for close to a year after I deleted stuff, I kept telling YouTube over Twitter that my analytics were wrong and that the deleted videos stats were still showing up, but they kept telling me repeatedly that analytics from deleted videos would get removed. After months and months of trying to say that this was a problem, they now fix it and agree it was a problem after they were saying it wasn't. If only we knew how long this has been a problem deceiving people all excited to get monetized when it was just a hoax that wasn't being explained...

Standard nefarious behaviour by YouTube "S.O.P" to surreptitiously change terms of service & monetization eligibility so that the ad revenue can be shared by a smaller number of uploaders. Styxhexenhammer666 raised this issue yesterday.

Hey Rob. When YouTube launched the 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch time hours in February of 2018, it has always been only public Videos that count. And as you mention, unfortunately the hour meter has been showing total hours.

This is a different topic from this specific problem, but once you get 4K watch hours AND monetization, how important is it that you stay above 4K watch hours thereafter? If you dip below 4K hours at any point after getting monetization, do they take it away?

Yes!! I have had around 90 hours lost.! And that was shortly after I unlisted a test video. I have even seen subs that have disappeared but did not show a negative in the analytics. Thank you for the Video. P. S. No beard lol

Their new Terms of Service or Rules- Will take affect Dec 10 - Get ready for even more vague reasons as to why you get demonetized, kicked out of the YPP, or removed entirely from the platform. Brace yourselves...

Yes from loosing over 700 subs in January 2019 from now being 2000 hrs short when I was only 100!

I have been experiencing the same problem as well. Few days ago, i put my live stream videos to private then just found out the hours in my youtube beta monetization tab was changed and reduced to hours instead. but when i checked my analytics, the hours there were still the same and increasing. Please help me understand why is this happening and if my hours will still be the same since im still struggling to complete my 4, 000 hours. thank youuuu!
