🔴 TROPICAL UPDATE LIVE: Hurricane Milton Explosively Intensifying In The Gulf...

Satellite and aircraft data indicate that Milton is strengthening. A large burst of convection is occurring in the northern semicircle of the storm, with lots of expanding outflow. The last fix from the NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft showed a pressure down to 991 mb with maximum 500m low-level winds of about 65 kt. These winds reduce down to the surface to about 55 kt, and this value will be the initial intensity.

Hi David! Thanks for being so on top of these crazy Hurricanes as of late. YOU HAVE BEEN SPOT ON. I don't say that lightly, as I come from Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands in NC, and we are Hurricane survivors for hundreds of years . My big concern is that since Mitch, imho, will become a high end Cat 4 or Cat 5 in the gulf....it's not going to matter much if it makes landfall as a Cat 2 or 3, WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO THE STORM SURGE. No matter WHAT ithe wind speed is, Mitch will bring Cat 4 to Cat 5 STORM SURGE AND HISTORIC FLOODING. Why isn't anyone stressing that? That's exactly what happened in Katrina. It happened in Hatteras with Hurricane Isabel in 2003...We just saw it happen with HELENE and HELENE was coming NW...Mitch is coming across the entire Gulf, and will be bringing unsurvivable STORM SURGE with it, no matter where the eyewall goes? Plus we got a jogger- bounce to the north, to south...anyone who is anywhere near the entire cone, and then some, needs to leave. Go. Fast. It's coming for you and you don't have much time. My prayers are for all of you. Please listen to the EVACUATION orders. David, I hope that your channel grows by the tens of THOUSANDS bc you deserve it.
