In the previous video, we covered using Firefox and the Video Downloadhelper extension to save online videos. This video shows how to use additional software called yt-dlp to further enhance your ability to save a local copy of an online video for your personal enjoyment.

*Video Downloadhelper:*
*YT-DLP:*

For Linux users (it should work for MacOS too) you can install the latest version of yt-dlp software directly and easily from the terminal using the following two commands:

*NOTE:* _Remove the space in "h ttps" first._

sudo chmod a+rx /usr/local/bin/yt-dlp

Jonathan, at 6:28, you say "How you use this one, it's really... it is the terminal again." Please describe in more detail how you bring up the "terminal" to view that box and then also please explain how to access that box and begin to be able to type into it, as I found no way to get that box to appear.

Video Download Helper just doesn't find the (entire) video when I click on it. Useless add-on. Any tips?
