Angel Bird just released their newest Cfexpress type A cards for Sony A7 series and FX series cameras. The new cfexpress a cards feature the same speeds and durability of past angel bird cards but come in new 300gb and 160gb sizes with a fantastic price to match. As a long time user of Angelbird cfexpress A cards I can confidently say these are some of the best cards for Sony cameras!

I enjoy watching your videos and bought the angelbird 160 Gb for my sony A7M4. Really impressed with the transfer speeds I was getting out of it. Unfortunately though, my camera just stopped working on me a few days later, not sure if the issue was connected with the card. Also, I cannot find the card being sold on B&H anymore. Just my experience could be different with other people. I'll have to see if I have any other issues once I get my camera fixed.

I’m confused. A search on a number of sites, say that the 1TB WERE DISCONTINUED. Even the Angelbird site says “End of Life” for the 1TB type A card.

Brother I need pro advise please! Been using a Sony A9 with 128 GB in both slots only is the camera For Music Videos I never shoot past four minutes in one shot usually and I only shoot for about 3 to 5 hours meaning there’s times I can go for 5 to 10 minutes without even shooting the next shot cause I’m setting up the next shot. I’m sharing this with you because I’ve never run out of memory. I don’t even think I’ve used up the second card but now I’m getting the Sony 7IV and that’s a different ball game as you know First I’m gonna be using the camera on as high as quality so I have to use the CF express card unfortunately no way around it from what I’m told by Sony Tech that being said, I always want a back up card. I’m not gonna use the second slot now that I’ve been taught by Sony Tech the second slot will not give me the highest quality in the camera. It’s for people that wanna shoot photos and then of course you have to set your camera on one of the dials to acknowledge the second slot so this way it’s not eating up your precious memory storage in your first slot with a CFX express card. This being said I don’t know which way to go because as you know, they’re all super expensive and it’s beyond shameful and ridiculous. How much they charge for these cards?

I was thinking about getting a CF express 160 GB for the first card and the second card 80 GB CFX express to have as a back up but I don’t know if that’s even enough or do I get a 256CX express with an 80 GB CFX express back up I see which man they cost so much or 330 GB of a CFX express card and then 80 GB back up. Are you gonna tell me that I need 128 GB backup CF express card. Can somebody please help me with this I need to know real quick ‘ cause I’m getting the camera this week. I would really appreciate it. God bless to everyone.

Why did they discontinue the 1TB version?

Generally, I agree with your reviews, but not this one. I purchased two of the Angelbird 128GB V90 SD cards and they were slower than my old SanDisk Extreme Pro 95 Mbps (slower than v30) memory cards. OWC Atlas Pro CFexpress Type A 4.0 cards, for instance, are much cheaper per MB, faster than Angelbird and very reliable..

They sent you one! **Gasp** Your review can't be trusted. 😄

Kidding!

It's amazing how much storage can fit on that small card!

120 fps 10 bit 4:2:2 no issues?
8K 10 bit 4:2:2 no issues?

Unfair comparison. V90 vs Type A from another brand. The Angelbird Type A could be as good as Jake says. Even car manufacturers have certain models that don’t match up to par.
