Gundam Breaker 4 marks a triumphant return to the series' roots, offering fans an intricate and rewarding Gunpla-building experience. While the story may not be the game's strongest aspect, the detailed customization options, engaging combat mechanics, and creative features like Diorama and Painting modes more than make up for it.

If you want to get into GunPla, a fair warning: You won't stop at just one. I was feeling nostalgic and bought a kit on a whim. Less than a year later, I have 10 high-grades on my shelf with a Real Grade TallGeese and Master Grade Barbatos ready to go.

I cannot overstate how AWESOME it is to not only learn about this game THE DAY before it drops, but ALSO to learn that it's gonna be decent. NGB still stings, I thought that was the end of Western localization but WE ARE BACK!

My brother loves to collect and assemble gundam. He even displays it in multiple shelves. I will definitely tell him about this game.

You could just paint your parts. A uniformed color palate helps a lot for even the more hodgepodge mixes. There should be quick and easy palettes if you don’t want to invest the time painting. Also having your suit be your avatar is way better. GB3 was just you in a pilot suit. Now we get to see our builds move around and not have to load into combat to see it move.

I know there's a lot of differences when you get deeper into everything, but if you liked Xenoverse as a Dragon Ball game, then I think you'll like Gundam Breaker if you like Gundam even a little bit. In both games you're customizing your own dude with abilities and costumes/parts from the series except gb4 obviously let's you customize your mobile suit to a crazy degree. I'm usually not someone who customizes or creates stuff in games for too long, but this game hooked me. I love making crazy looking mobile suits lol

I literally just bought my first gundam kit when I was without power for a week after hurricane. I enjoyed building it a lot. Never watched the show or played the games, but I’m probably going to buy another kit as I enjoyed it so much

Dude, this game gonna keep me occupy until Monster Hunter Wilds come out. Love this siple yet fun game. TO be honest, I understand the more low stake story approach, I hope the next sequel will be more Gundam Build Divers 2, where villains using dangerous gunpla and you are piloting a gunpla, but can return to hub to do your customization.

I feel like armored core 6 just completely ruined all other mecha games for me. They all just look so slow and impactless by comparison

Glad to hear that the gameplay in Breaker 4 is a return to form for the series. I've been holding off on buying it just to see what the general consensus was, and so far I've been hearing mostly positive things.

Also, I'm just going to throw this out there: GunPla is super easy to get into. You just buy the kit, follow the directions, cut out the pieces step-by-step, and they all snap together. No glue required. Minimal application of stickers, especially if you go for the smaller/cheaper kits. The first one I ever built was during the pandemic as a way to kill time. I bought the HG RX-78-2, and for someone who had literally never built a model kit of anything ever before it was still a piece of cake to build. My only recommendation would be if you want clean cuts when removing the pieces, the shops that sell the GunPla kits typically also sell good quality nippers. I'm pretty sure there's even entry level kits that don't require any cutting where the pieces just snap out of the sheets.

His complaint about mobile suit looking goofy made me smile, as I remember a let's play of MS Saga, the Mobile Suit Gundam RPG for the PS2. The last video of which was titled Final Boss vs the Abomination Army, due to the parts he had equipped.

Very much looking forward to playing. My friend and I spent an ungodly amount of hours on Gundam Breaker 3. It's not like it's a series with a deep story, and the gameplay definetly can be repedetive if you're the kind of player that needs a constant stream of fresh new experiences to keep you going.
We just love building robots. Build an awesome new robot, go smack things with it together, rinse and repeat. I'm not asking for anything fancy with a game like this, so hoping that GB4 is as fun as GB3 was! It'd be great to have extra stuff layered on top of it, like online avatar customisation for example, but it's not crucial at all.

I think the main thing that pulls me is the idea of building a suit and just having fun.

I can already see people with thier art making suits base off of other mecha I can already see someone making a megazoid or even megaman!

This is my very first gundam game! Well, outside of playing some old ps2 game from the series in, like, 2006 lol. Extremely excited to dig into everything this has to offer!

It's the WORST in the series by design choices and limitations. No matter how cheap you find it don't buy it.
