I bought a 67 Chevelle in 1987 and I still own and drive it. The more time that passes the more I appreciate the old girl, simplicity, fun, cheap to operate and ridiculous dependable

As can be seen in everyday products we use, the offerings for the same product vary greatly in quality when produced in China as there are manufactures whose only standard is hitting a price point. We ask for cheaper thinking they’re discounting, but rather they’re pulling out quality and replacing with cheap parts. Safety should be the biggest concern, then protectionist tariffs.

In all fairness, this spontaneous instant combustion of electric cars isn't just a Chinese ev problem, but a problem with all electric cars to verying degrees. Most fire departments in the U.S. can't put out an electric car fire quickly and most not even at all. Alot U.S. fire departments just recommend letting those kinds of fires burnout.

BYD just completed a huge EV plant in Mexico to escape 100% tariffs.
In 12 months EVs won’t be worth asking price!

They not only get huge government subsidies, they can pollute the shit out of their local environment while avoiding the clean up costs that makes other cars more expensive.

China’s Temu EV’s are absolute death traps.

Chinese EV's are catching fire in China with no recourse to consumer. Not to diminish China's manufacturing capabilities, the US has been a major proponent of Chinese manufacturing success to the detriment of the US economy.

I’m working on NOT buying Chinese products.

I stopped buying on Temu since I found out they don't have any regulations, chemicals and heavy metals where found in their products. Cheap shit always end up being expensive.

Chinese Carmakers would dominate the world of the auto industry. sure. If they can stop their multitudes of problems and issues, oh and stop being death traps on wheels.

Without trade rules EVERYTHING is cheaper with their low cost labor, lack of OSHA and environmental rules.

I would never buy a chinese vehicle. EV or not, I wouldn't trust the quality.
