Lots of changes are happening: moving across the country, goodbyes, and new beginnings. I’m really looking forward to sharing this next chapter with you. ❤️

After opening up on Instagram recently about the emotional rollercoaster that comes with change and dealing with my views being down on YouTube in the midst of this really big transition, I want to say thank you to everyone who has messaged me since then. A lot of the messages were from people in their late twenties dealing with their own significant changes and all the feelings of uncertainty that inevitably follow. These messages have inspired me to make a video that focuses specifically on dealing with big life transitions. I'll be posting it at the end of this month, so look out for it. Until then, to everyone going through a change right now: even though we're on our own paths with different experiences, knowing there are other people out there taking everything one step at a time makes it feel like we're all in this together. That's something pretty special. ❤️

I admire you for following your heart and for dreaming big! You’re killin’ it, Ingrid. I would say good luck but you don’t need it.

The year I turned 30 I moved from Edmonton Canada to Orange County, California. It was the biggest most dramatic event in my life up to that point I had to sell a house, quit my job, sell my car, and start everything brand new. But 20 years later I am still in Orange County and absolutely LOVE my life and manifested my DREAM life and you will too honey. So excited for your new adventures. xoox Wendy

Advice for a big move across the country: take less than you think you would like to bring. Seriously, get rid of most of it. Logistics of moving lots of large boxes and furniture is a pain. It felt flipping fantastic to walk into my new home with only the few things that I brought with me because I LOVED them (heirlooms and select memorabilia) . It felt even better curating and filling my new home with beautiful things from my new city.

As someone who has moved from New York To San Francisco (and back), New York TO Barcelona, Spain across the entire Atlantic Ocean and Barcelona To Austin, Texas (amongst many other moves) I have some major thoughts that will 100% support you in this next magical chapter in your life. While all the physical "stuff" has to be tended to properly, and logistics regarding that - the MOST important thing is taking care of your spirit along the way because the shifts in who you are becoming now and the energies behind you can echo in your soul creating some confusion. You have to know that life is a beautiful continuum, and a sacred journey. You are never losing anything or anyone. Just moving forward and opening to new possibilities and massive transformation. Since you already have some people in your life in NY and know some of the place, it really won't be as hard for you as someone just moving to a brand new city - where you know absolutely no one, or just a few people. What can really support you: Creating simple weekly rituals that honor your needs and help you to engage with life and people so you feel embraced by what you love, and nurtured by life everyday. Find a spiritual center or community for meditation or yoga (or both) near you, and go there consistently so you feel a sense of home and soul honoring to keep you happy. There are so many truly amazing secret places and people in NYC if you open yourself up to discover them! Also, find weekly or monthly events that delight you in a place you want to immerse yourself so you create simple patterns that make you feel grounded and connected while EVERYTHING around you and in you is changing. AND IT WILL CHANGE A LOT VERY FAST IN NYC!!!! I know from your videos that you have spent time in NY - but as someone who is a Native New York Girl, I have to say that full-time life there can get emotionally exhausting at times because there are SO MANY PEOPLE, tons of energies and vibrations all the time non-stop, so it really helps to cultivate consistent patterns and routines that ground you daily including getting out of the city into nature. Having a dog is great in the city because my dogs always introduced me to the best people and got me out for walks! Congratulations on your new adventure :)

Ingrid, I’m thrilled that you’re creating a home on the East Coast! What an exciting change for you. Take time for yourself each day, even just a few minutes, and you’ll remember why you’re doing this amidst the chaos. Thank you for being an inspiration! ❤️

I moved from India to California 2 years ago and that move took a toll on me mentally and emotionally. I would just say take it easy on yourself. Give yourself some time, everythng will be OKAY! :) May this move bring you lot of happiness and love!

This year, we are actually making our house into a home. Working room-by-room, picking pieces that make the house not feel like a couple of 19 year olds renting in uni. GOD does it feel good. Best of luck with your move!!! I’ve never been to NYC but it’s definitely up there on the list

This sounds a little extreme, but my best packing tip is to label boxes with the room name and a number (Kitchen 1, Kitchen 2, etc.) and as you pack them, create a spreadsheet with the box number and a brief description of what's inside. This will make unpacking much easier! Best of luck on the big move ❤️

Hey Ingrid! I hope I can bring a little something to you because you brought a whole lot of greatness to my life in the past years. I am the same age as you, and last year I did the same move you did, except in the opposite direction and in Canada (Montreal to Vancouver). I am someone who loves to spend time alone to read, walk and think. To me, moving felt like starting a completely new life, but a new life in which I knew very well who I was from the very beginning. I had the opportunity to be anyone I wanted to be. I met new people at different places and gave myself the total freedom of being authentic without trying to act a certain way to please the new people around me. It felt like being in kindergarten and being just my true and simple self, but being conscious of it. I was surprised to realized that this brought me to develop relations with people who appreciate authenticity and who have interests that are very close to mine. Being in a new city also pushed me to be in new situations, and to spend more time alone than previously, and I discovered new facets of my personality that I had never "met" before. I am feeling even closer to myself now, and I have been able to explore new interests and passions because I was already out of my comfort zone anyway so why not try something new as well! It can feel very scary to move, but I promess the minute you land in New York it will all make sense. I wish you the very best and I'm sending you good energy <3

Moving to nyc for college I can COMPLETELY RELATE to the fear and nerves you’re experiencing. My biggest tip is definitely to remember why you’re doing it. And this applies not only to moves but anything in life. The move is tough. There are going to be times when you think it would’ve been easier to just stay, but when you remind yourself of the passion you have for this new chapter of your life, it really helps putting everything into perspective. Can’t wait to say I share a city with you! Love you forever and always Ingrid 💕

I’m so incredibly excited for you girl!!!I love your outlook, positivity, and am so incredibly inspired by you. I have moved A LOT and I think my biggest tip would have to be getting out in the community makes a big difference. When I moved for the first time I went to classes in my neighborhood (yoga, soap making, literally EVERYTHING) and started volunteering at a charity I love. This gave me such a sense of community, belonging, and allowed me to meet a lot of really cool people.

Hey Ingrid, I never leave comments but this video resonated with me in a pretty visceral way. I just moved to NYC about a month ago from Florida. I graduated, my parents were in the process of moving my childhood home, and I moved to NYC all within a month of each other so I completely know the feeling of massive life changes. Obviously, I have not been here long so I may not any kind of veteran but I have already found so many things about the city that help ease and heal some of the sadness and pain of moving. The first you have touched on but knowing this is where you are meant to be helps to feel everything without being overcome by sadness. It is the true definition of bittersweet. Being bold and saying yes to things that maybe I wouldn't, like coffee with a new friend who I just met, has actually already lead to some really neat friendships and while they may not last forever, some may be the best friends I will make here. Also doing the things that made me so excited to be here like becoming a MET member and seeing Broadway shows, or taking walks in the park and exploring different neighborhoods have been so so good. Like I said, I am so new still but this video meant more to me than you know! I hope you have a lovely move and welcome (for good) to the city! Maybe I will run into you one day and get the chance to tell you all of this in person ;) <3

Hearing you say you're turning 30 next year just made me realise how /old/ I actually am and how long I've been watching you for. I've watched you since the beginning and I can't believe how much you've grown during that time. Or how much I've grown even. I'm 27 now and I decided to go back to university last year to really pursue my career. New York has always felt like the most perfect place for you. I'm really happy for you.

Omgg just new york is great. One great thing about my beautiful city is that theres never a lack of exploration and adventure to uncover. Explore every corner and experience how much culture is rooted into this city❤️ congrats on the new chapter !!

Ingrid, I’ve been watching you for so long and it was always evident that you had a very strong connection to NYC. I knew you would eventually be moving there, and I’m so excited for you! Being someone who lives only a couple of miles from NYC, I can confidently say that you will love it. I’ve been going there my entire life, and it is truly a city like no other. Hopefully this raises the chances of getting to meet you one day. Good luck on the move and just know that people are very excited for you.

I'm so so happy for you!!! I moved to a big city from a little town and i think that the best advice i can give is just remember that all is temporary. You will make this new place your home and you will find new friends and you will figure things out. Give it time. I wish you the best of luck!!! 😍😍😍
