Getting Started with .NET MAUI and GitHub Copilot

Recorded live from the South Florida Developer Conference on May 4, 2024! .NET Multi-platform App UI (.NET MAUI) is a framework for building modern, multi-platform, natively compiled iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows apps using C# and XAML in a single codebase. It’s a useful framework for you to know how to use effectively! In this session, learn how to get started with .NET MAUI, C#, and Visual Studio and VS Code. In the introductory level session, find out how to install .NET MAUI on a PC or Mac and get an overview of its architecture. Explore building a .NET MAUI UI with XAML and binding data with MVVM and XAML. We will go over how to navigate between pages and access platform features. Then finish up with some .NET MAUI resources and a recap of the session. This workshop will not be a hands-on session, however detailed PowerPoint and code samples will be provided as a homework assignment. Russ will also be demonstrating use of GitHub CoPilot as part of this presentation.
