Sasol's Ethane Cracker 101

Ethane is a hydrocarbon gas made from petroleum and is the second-largest component of natural gas. It is a colorless, odorless gas made of two carbon atoms and six hydrogen atoms. For Sasol’s U.S. mega project, ethane is broken down through the process of cracking to produce ethylene, a component used to create innovative products used every day, throughout the world.
