Just watched this movie; a beautiful story, amazing acting by Henry Goulding, and truly a feel good movie. Henry definitely took some risks as an actor in this movie, and did a fantastic job. Definitely recommend!

I can relate to this accept the homosexual part. I left Thailand for England when I was 12 and my first return was 14 years later, alone. That feeling of being a foreigner in your own birth home is strange as if time has stopped. I left when I was 12 and return also as a 12-year old boy expecting to see 12-year-old friends. I walk into my old high school hoping to see all the friends and teachers who once wack me with a stick when I ever did wrong but none of them were there. I walk around casually and visited almost every place I once hang out with friends, Bridges where we jump off into the river, streets, shops, and basketball court that was no longer there. Even though I'm Thai, the locals still look at me like a foreigner. Not many have changed but at the same time, everything is. Isn't that weird? Oh despite the odd feeling I felt very much at HOME!

I've just found out about the existence of this movie and I'm definitely going to watch it now, I've been living outside my country for almost 20 years and I've decided to go back to stay closer to my parents who are not that young anymore... Every time I came back to stay for a few days for the holidays or some special event in all these years I never really felt at home anymore, those places where I grew up were not same, I was not the same... But now I've decided to go back and start anew. So yeah I totally understand what it feels like to go back to a place where you grew up after so many years and feeling completely lost... Also, Henry Golding is absolutely stunning, such a good looking man and a talented actor for sure.
