Vegan Waffles aka the Delicious Diva of Breakfasts

On today's installment of ~Lisa Gets Weird While Cooking~ we're making vegan waffles! After talking about all the breakfast foods for so long and only referencing my waffle recipe, I thought it was high time to share a video of my vegan waffles!

♡ What does your logo mean? Why isn't your logo using the Vietnamese flag? - Actually I use the South Vietnam flag because it represents Viet Kieu (Vietnamese immigrants after the fall of Saigon), my parents were both boat refugees before immigrating to Canada. My logo combines two parts of my identity: Maple leaf because I'm Canadian, and the South Vietnam flag because I'm Vietnamese :)

I only learned that about maple syrup 3 years ago. Never did encounter moldy maple syrup though

It's not just the UK using kitchen scales, more like just America using cups and ounces etc. Measuring in grams and ml is so much more precise (and easy) and especially important for baking.

I'm a brit with a Canadian mom currently living in Sweden so I use a pretty messed up combo of measures - mostly scales, cups for Canadian family recipes and most recently deciliter measuring cups (because a lot of recipes in Sweden are measured in decilitres and the measures are widely available in shops, just like North American cups). This video is making me envious of your waffle maker, but we really don't have space for one in our tiny apartment!

I like thinner waffles, so I have a thinner waffle maker, and it's so nice to pop a frozen one in the toaster for a nice breakfast. My favorite way to have waffles is with (vegan) butter and jam.
