There is a big DAC facility being built in America and there is one being built in Scotland also. I don’t know about how much Carbon the Scottish facility will be able to take in, but the USA one will take in 1 million tonnes of carbon per year, compared to the current facilities taking only 4000.

There is around 875 gigatonnes of carbon in the atmosphere and half of that has happened since the industrial revolution. It would take 5000 of the US DAC facilities to reduce carbon in the atmosphere to a level near that in around 90 years.

The best thing about DAC facilities is that it can either store and bury carbon into the ground, or you can repurpose it and turn it into fuel for cars and lawnmowers anything which normal gas/petrol is used for, so it has a monitory value to it also, albeit it would then require more facilities to offset the amount of emissions that are still happening.

Short term solution is that countries need to start drilling for oil themselves, no point in crying out climate change but just let other countries do it anyway, might as well be you doing it. Long term, as fossil fuels are not renewable so they will run out eventually, is carbon capture, still using the efficiency of fuel power and removing carbon from the atmosphere. But even the climate change pushers try to sweep it under the rug because they are getting paid off by the solar and wind power sources.
