I am the same way, Sherwood. After starting at a Honda dealership for many years coming up during the Fast & Furious era and knowing anything and everything about them from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s, now I am to the point where I just want a durable, simple vehicle with no frills that isn't flashy and just gets me where I need to go reliably. It's why I currently drive a 1999 Toyota Camry and why my next vehicle will be an older Honda.

There are so many makes and models of vehicles with different engines and options packages. I would like to be one of those guys who knows all the engines that came in all the trim levels of the car and what year it was offered, but I just don't have the hard drive capacity in my coconut to remember all of that 😂.

Some days I feel like Lucas and David talked about in one of their podcasts where doing this job for the last almost 2 decades has eroded the enthusiast in me and when I'm driving down the road now, it's almost subconscious that I see vehicles I used to admire but now just think of all the problems they have 🤣.

I left the auto repair business to work in a warehouse. Mon-Thur, four 10hr shifts. It is a world of difference! I spent 30+ years working 6 days a week. No more! Congratulations to you guys for making the choice!!

Have you ever worked on a 2003-06 Silverado that the “service brake booster” comes on the message cluster and you replace brake booster, battery, alternator and supplemental brake pump and the message still come on?
