Shea Weber one of the greatest all time defenseman to not get a cup. Hell of a career an absolute beauty of a person and one hell of a cannon on him! Thank you for everything shea. Price is in this category too once he's inducted. Both deserved a cup. Sad it's over :(

Great speech! Love the humbleness and shout out to playing road hockey on Spruce Street in Sicamous! I too played road hockey on Spruce Street just 10 years prior. My dad also worked at the sawmill. This hit in the feels.

Well deserved induction. It's a shame he never won the Norris because he was amazing in his prime. On a stacked team Canada at the 2014 Olympics, Weber might've had the best tournament out of all of his teammates. That's greatness.

Class act! Great speech! Wish Montreal had Weber on the blue line today!

Funny, when all the players who played with him or against him all agree why he should be in, I don't really think all the comments from everyone that watched him on TV hold as much weight as all the ones that played with or against him. Every team would have loved to have him, every team hated playing against him. That really tells you something. Let that sink in. He deservingly got his spot, congrats Shea. Cheers

He was unreal for Canada. The fact that he was chosen to represent a stacked canada regularly proves he should be in the nhl. He was one of the best #1 dman on the planet for over a decade

People saying he doesn't belong aren't understanding that his international career was also under consideration. He won a TON with Team Canada and was a vital part of those victories.

There’s alot of guys who aren’t in the Hall yet that should have come before Shea…and I have nothing against him being in.

Wheres the stat for how many broken bones the Weber bomb caused? That has to be a record in itself

Buncha sorry haters down here. What your favourite winger had his shin broken blocking his shot? 😂

Have to wonder what other injuries he had besides the broken ankle (which he played the entire season and playoffs with). He should have had a Norris as well, but was robbed by Lidstrom (who had plenty of Norris trophies already) by one of the closest vote by points. Losing him and Price around the same time gutted the team and slowly going through a rebuild still.

All respect to Shea.

But where is Markus Naslund, Alexander Mogilny and Curtis Joseph....

I can't believe he's in the hall and mogliny isn't and he was one of the greatest Russians and had 76 goals one season, Stanley cup and 1000 points. It's BS how they pick hall of famers.
