My husband and I changed churches from a small country church to an even smaller country church a couple of years ago. We sing mostly traditional hymns of the faith, with piano accompaniment (a real piano; not a keyboard). The lyrics are available on a screen, but I still use a hymnal. All of these things are comforting to me. I know that many, many Christians love the contemporary song service, but we don't and after trying to fit into it for over 40 years, we're happy to return to a style of worship that is very meaningful to us. One more thing about a long car trip, I like to bring along a hymnal for us to sing in the car. I just can't remember the words to all the verses without video.

Since my moms passing last year, I have been trying to find peace and dealing with grief. Mostly, people worry I am lonely. But I don't need just anyone. If I find a life partner, it has to be my soul mate. Or better off alone. That is why making my homestead peaceful is important.

I really enjoyed this video, you’re right, we have to work for peace in and around our home, sometimes we have to push hard for that peace, but it’s well worth it because our home should be a peaceful place, God gives us inner peace, but we have to work for that too, like reading Gods word, singing spiritual songs, and taking time to praise Him, and be thankful. I spent the full day today from daybreak to dark baking in the kitchen today trying to get better at this sourdough journey I am on. My neighbor had a large tree branch from one my trees fall into their yard a few days ago and to thank them for cutting up the branch and their kind understanding that it was just a natural thing that occurred, I made them a loaf of sourdough jalapeno cheddar cheese to attempt to say thank you. And, since I didn't think their little 3-year-old could have jalapenos, I made him some sourdough chocolate chip cookies. What a joy to give them something in return (they wouldn't allow me to help or pay to have it removed) for their kindness and even more joy when they said the cookies and the bread were amazing. Thank you for showing me all the tools to be able to continue this journey. I think I most enjoy the calm in your voice which brings comfort and peace to me as I watch and listen.
