I spend a week with the all-new 2023 Lexus RX 500h F Sport Performance to see what it's like to live with. With 366 hp and 406 lb/ft of torque along with a claimed 28 mpg rating, it really seems like the best of both worlds, economy and performance all wrapped up in an attractive luxury package. But does it deliver? In this video I'll go over the pros and cons that I noticed during my week with the 2023 RX500h. What do you think about these? Thanks to Lexus for providing this vehicle to review!

so it finally arrived! after 8 months!!! I can say that the FRONT CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT! is now muted!!! they fixed it!!!! also the hybrid system is super smooth!!!! it is seamless and the transmission is buttery smooth!!!! they fixed out a lot of the kinks a lot of reviewers complained about!!! Love the RX500h! Also the Mark Levinson is amazing!!!! also people are tripping about the fuel economy... you know how much TORQUE and HP this vehicle makes??? sure the 0-60 times aren't the FASTEST but the car feels quick and energetic!! also the ride quality is amazing!!! extremely smooth but also dynamic! feels like you're on a monorail train! also the MPG is great! the city and highway are great mpg.

I have the rx500h now for almost 10, 000 km and i have to say it is a very very good car. It is sporty and very comfortable, one word to describe it: smooth. Avg about 9.4L/100km.

I’ve had the RX 500h for a month now and had no problem getting 31 mpg in normal mode in city and 30 mpg in highway at 75mph average. I’ve been very surprised to exceed the estimates.

Lexus doesn’t back down. This is a gorgeous Lexie, it’s stunning from every angle.

6:30 This is a valid safety issue at stoplights / stop signs because of people running the light or not stopping for the sign. I speak from personal experience - just a few months ago, I had nearly been T-boned by a Challenger running a red light, going 60. I stepped on the gas gently to get going when the lights turned green for me, and said Challenger flew by, missing my car by only a few feet. It ended up taking off the front end of another car to my right, but that could have easily been me.

In other words, I think that front traffic detection is a good thing, although it could be tuned / adjusted to stop giving those false positives when you're at a light. Instead of giving those warnings when you're stopped, only activate the system and start monitoring for moving traffic when you take your foot off the brake and step on the gas.

Great review! I am curious about two items mentioned: 1) Can you readily limit the cross traffic assist notifications which appear in the HUD? 2) Can you limited the amount of information appearing in the HUD? I had the same experience with another make/model until I limited the info to what I needed to see visually in my line of site.

So glad I got the last generation 2022 RX V6…I knew this would happen. I’m getting 22/28 on regular fuel.

I have a 450H, 2011. Still runs perfectly, but I may have to finally pull the trigger and get one of these. Very detailed review. Thanks brother!

IT SUCKS THAT THE MARK LEVINSON isn't coming anytime soon! the fully loaded versions of the 500H F sport are delayed due to chips!

Could you please explain about the engine. From my understanding only porsche cayenne has a turbocharged hybrid engine. Is it a good engine?

I like the idea of having the HUD be more prominent than the gauge cluster. But having that cross traffic warning constantly go off whenever a car goes by would be fairly annoying.

First review to tell/demonstrate to me about the bugs with the HUD and hybrid transitions. The third reviewer to identify that the fuel ratings are not being achieved by Lexus which is huge. Thanks I'm glad I watched.

I only wish the used the twin turbo v6 engine from the LS and made a RX500 F Sport.
Maybe add the electric motors for more power.

Hybrid fuel economy drops dramatically in cold weather, so the low fuel economy numbers sound right.

I was hoping to see it in Copper Crest.

The best way to navigate is to use Head Display as a car navigation.. H does produce a bit more jerk between transactions.

Great review. Do you think this is a better ride than the MDX A Spec?

You have to factor the weather if it’s too cold your hybrid system won’t do good much on saving gas
