Sadly, hot tubs (the heat) brings out the vulnerabilities in the body. If he was borderline from past abuse, it may have finally caught up with him. Very unfortunate. 54 is way too early for anyone.

I used to work as an RA at a rehab inpatient center back in 2000's. What I learned was that even if you are clean drugs tend to suppress your immune and other systems and when you get off drugs lots of swelling of the lungs, legs, and heart muscle can occur and in some cases you can go into cardiac arrest if there's a underlying condition that has not been detected like blockages in the heart that he might of not known about. He fought the long fight like our beloved Whitney Houston and many others before them. Rest In Power Mr. Perry.

Im so sad to hear this.😭 Sounds to me like he had a heart attack. Same thing happened to my boss. The wife found him dead in there jacuzzi, but he had had high blood pressure.
Mathew was such a great actor. Cant even count the times he made me laugh on Friends!

My 💔is just broken for those that loved him, truly loved HIM for who he IS, who he was when we were all watching him weekly and also those of us who loved and prayed for him during the most difficult times of his life. I still love him and applaud all he did to better himself and all those he helped during his own journey. His is a true Gentleman with a heart of Gold and a man who gave us a piece of himself for decades.
WE have been blessed because of his talent and ability to always make us laugh and now we will all mourn him but I just feel that he would want to be remembered as “the guy who was always so brilliantly funny!” And that I shall do as we mourn a tragic loss.
My prayers and thoughts go out to his Family & true Friends that loved him unconditionally and May his Memory be a Blessing to All.

My dad died in the pool. Said he drowned. I said you didn't do an autopsy than. He was a stunt and scuba diver. He had to have a heart attack and then drowned.
