That's a striking statement. If you've ever been at a low point in your life and someone says "people care about you" it hits hard. It's so important to love and know you're loved everyday. It's so easy to lose yourself, with or without drugs. I pray for him ❤

My nephew is a homeless drug addict that lives by the river. My sister (his mom) still takes him to parks and the beach and out for lunch, things like that. I see how very lucky he is to have people still share life with him and care for him. To be included in holidays, to have someone get him a hotel room when it's super cold out. Life is hard enough, no one deserves to be completely alone.

I saw this guy sitting g on a stoop near my old apartment in New Orleans a couple of years ago. He is strikingly handsome. My neighbor’s fridge broke and she was clearing g it out. We had some really good bread in it but it had to go so we walked down and asked him if he wanted it. He took it and cried. Thanked us so much and cried… he said said he was so thankful and cried.

Truth! I'm not homeless or into drugs but have no friends at 37 years old. Near impossible to make new friends as a lone random man at that age!
