Wait! This is on Power Query online. What about in PBI Desktop? When is going to be available? I like the look and field, icons, and design. Why it's not like this on Power Query within PBI Desktop?

This is bananas. Just yelled at the screen over this one. Lol. Been building in desktop then migrating to power query on line for years. Totally missed this. Awesome job Alex! 😎

This is bananas. Been there used parameters and failed in services. This is 1 step ahead and solid.

That is really great, thanks guys ;) How many item can we have in a list to use this List.Contains appraoch ? I had to try with a list of roughly 50000 item… it was just spinning. At the end I just kept the query unbroken until the end, and applied a merge at the end (breaking the folding) it became much more faster.

Any idea, when can we expect Power Query in Desktop catching up with Power Query in Service? it is seriously falling behind in so many ways.

reminds me of ssrs reporting, where u could create a query from a list or a table to use as a parameter to a filter.

Lists are such a powerful feature, need to use it more often over merges!

I am working on building reports where I connect to the sql database from my LMS. I’ve seen where those table columns appear in the various tables. This gives me some ideas on how I can better pull in information. Thanks for always posting great videos. ❤

#DontBreakTheFold 👏👏 Didn't know about In 🤯 Isnt there a limit on how many items can be included in the IN, like 240 or something?

There are many instances where I have merged separate queries for the sole purpose of filtering, but didn't know of this list method. What is the benefit of using this method? You guys say not to break the fold, but why not?
