Autism diagnosis includes screening. In this video, I share my personal journey of receiving a Late autism diagnosis at the age of 40. For most of my life, I didn’t know I was on the autism spectrum. I never understood the autism symptoms I had until I learned more about autism and how it can look different in adults. My story is about Autism self-discovery and how finally understanding myself through a Late autism diagnosis female changed my life.

I’ll also talk about my experience with Adult ADHD diagnosis and how it connects to my Neurodiversity discovery. Many people don’t realize that autistic adults can have overlapping traits with ADHD, and this journey of ADHD self-acceptance was also life-changing.

In this video, you’ll learn about the autistic inertia, which is often seen in autistic adults, and how it has impacted me. If you’re wondering about late diagnosed autism, especially late life autism diagnosis, I hope my story can offer some insight.

Whether you're autistic or curious about autism awareness, this video is for anyone wanting to learn more about adult autism and the journey of autistic self-acceptance.

It's better to know no matter what age someone is. Knowing makes all the difference. The phrase "knowledge is power" definitely applies here.

So true about a label being a (useful) sign post. Excellent point.

Very true. Got diagnosed with adhd at 37. Never had problems with school or work even though I can't even remember how I did so well at school. But my personal life, relationship problems, money problems, procrastination, impulsive behaviors, no way to get to my emotions etc. It all makes sense now. Never got it, they always told me I was just depressed. Now on methylfenidate, life just became 60% better. I'm motivated, I feel and am learning to identify my emotions. So much has changed in the past 6 months. I'm grateful I found out!
