Why I Got My Autism Diagnosis at 40 (Life-Changing!)

Autism diagnosis includes screening. In this video, I share my personal journey of receiving a Late autism diagnosis at the age of 40. For most of my life, I didn’t know I was on the autism spectrum. I never understood the autism symptoms I had until I learned more about autism and how it can look different in adults. Very true. Got diagnosed with adhd at 37. Never had problems with school or work even though I can't even remember how I did so well at school. But my personal life, relationship problems, money problems, procrastination, impulsive behaviors, no way to get to my emotions etc. It all makes sense now. Never got it, they always told me I was just depressed. Now on methylfenidate, life just became 60% better. I'm motivated, I feel and am learning to identify my emotions. So much has changed in the past 6 months. I'm grateful I found out!
