"That's because you're 16 and you still assume the best in people"

What I love about Burt is that he doesn’t deny the fact that when he was younger, he was potentially homophobic at times (using the “f” word etc). But he changes and becomes a better person because of his love for his son. I think that’s so admirable.

I felt so bad for Kurt in the beginning, I mean you could see the pain in his eyes. He tried so hard, and you could see he was hurt by what Finn said...

"The place looks great" idk why that hit me but like the amount of support that Burt shows honestly sends me into another dimension

'Out in the world you do what you want, not under my roof.'
That has to be the first time I've ever heard that in relation to homosexuality when they meant 'Don't be homophobic under my roof' rather than 'Don't be gay under my roof'. Burt is amazing.

*"burt is the best dad ever"*
Said everyone ever

Kurt's pain and guilt, Burt's anger and disappointment, Finn's shame and regret... Cory, Chris and Mike are such brilliant actors
TheManaPrism
The way he said "The place looks great"...was honestly the best ending to this scene.

“He is my son” so much care love and protection went into that ONE it makes my heart burst
lilianna
Crying because I wish my dad had been a half-decent human being... I love what They did with this father/son relationship throughout, while Santana's storyline showed the family turbulence version.

Mike O'Malley's acting is fantastic. But so is Cory's! I mean seriously, going from all mad to scared! Just ALL the acting in this scene is wonderful!

“I’d never call her that. That’s cruel!”
Season 4 Finn calling Sue’s baby the R slur:

At that moment...
Finn realized...
That he really screwed up.

"Place looks great."
No show could ruffle your tear ducts better than GLEE. The moment at 3:31, when Burt puts a hand on his son's shoulder and waits for him to return his touch, is amazing.
mca
I love how when Burt puts his hand on Kurt, he doesn’t let go until Kurt touches him back.
stevie
Burt did what 90% of single parents don't do in real life: put their children first.
scienceplease
"what did you call him...?"
*"I was talking to the blanket-"* 💀

"you think i wouldn't use that word when I was your age?" - raising someone by example and experience. Burt is an amazing dad.
