Finally seeing the light and Cummins is only way to get ford out of the rut.
Cummins made a believer out of me when I swapped out a 440 gas to a 5.9 12-valve p-pump in my 1975
Dually Power Wagon. Very simple motor with less parts and more power & torque and great fuel mileage.

I had one of the first 08 F.450s and had tons of problems with the 6.4, always in the shop for weeks at a time and it was my personal service truck. At 100k miles when the warranty was up I did a 5.9 24v with p pump conversion, pistons, bottom end, fuel plate mod, cam, injectors, turbo, south bend twin disc (i ordered it with the manual 6sp 4x4 with pto). It did 530hp to the wheels on the dyno after it was all finished. The 8.3 is awesome though, that's a serious under taking.
