I love watching these videos of course because they inspire you to take care of yourself. Even I started getting into skincare and it felt good! What I don't like are the superficial aspects of it. Like only owning stuff in pastel shades (and mostly pink) and owning tons of stuff that you don’t need. You don’t NEED 50 blushes. I like what the 'That girl' trend is based upon: self care and productivity. But it’s the consumerist ideals that I can't appreciate. Regardless of how you try to justify it, it constricting and very materialistic. I do believe in self love and consumerist mentality isn't all that bad. But I think instead of having a vanity or cabinets full of unused products if you only kept products that you truly enjoyed, for example a few blushes that you always go for because you find yourself looking absolutely gorgeous with them, that speaks volumes more of self love than the mere visual satisfaction of seeing your drawers full of products. Because that excitement dies down sooner or later.
