The modes on the car dont give you more power or anything, it just changes the amount of power at low RPM, meaning if you're at the edge of grip in normal mode, you cant accelerate faster, thus you're giving less throttle thus using the same amount of power anyways, sports mode is only useful in half or less than half load situations

Sport buttons have never added power to a car. All they do is tighten the steering and give slightly more throttle response. No more power. Maybe faster shifts in some cars.

Softer damper causes the wheels do eat bumps better which leads to more grip. The only reason hard damper is desirable is because cars tend to roll more with softer dampers and getting compressed faster than decompress which leads to the spring reaches it's upper deadpoint and leads to a sudden Loss of grip. But if you have good chamber, rebound and stabilizer settings. You can get away with soft damper and reach more mechanical grip. Therefore it's possible that sometimes comfort is grippier.

My car also has a sport mode, which increases its acceleration. It has an automatic gearbox and switches gears at around 4000, when you are full on the throttle. In sport it goes up to 5500.

depending on the car you can get an better gas milage on sport mode since in comfort usualy more of the comfort shit drains ur battery forcing the light maching 2 work harder, using more fuel, 4my old benz its like this roughly 1 L more per 100km if you use comfort.

This is absolutely NOT true for a Kia Sorento. In ECO mode, it's quite sluggish to get up to speed. In Sport mode, it'll push you back in to your seat.
