You should be able to fight those bosses without spending void shards anyway and only have to use them to open amorphous materials.

The warning the devs put was about people changing the time in their pc to make outpost infinite

If you abort a mission to restart it to make the farm for something go faster, that’s not an exploit in my opinion. You’re not altering anything in the game that isn’t there in order to get an advantage. You’re spending shards, and forgoing the whole purpose of the fusion reactor in order to get a material as quickly as you can. I wouldn’t imagine that’s what the devs refer to, same with the vespers xp farm. Hope they wouldn’t.

If this is considered as abnormal gameplay, then the entire player base is guilty, because by now, i would assume the great majority of the player base has been exploiting Vesper Exp farm. You do the exact same thing in Vesper, you get all the exp from the mission, and immediately abort and start again. Although Exp is intangible, but it is one of the key components for a player to advance in this game. Without this exploit, the exp farm would take much longer, if players are required to finish all 3 waves.

All those mats are kinda worthless though... not used for either catalyst or activator so it's whatever. Yeah they might be used for a weapon or whatever but that's really not a big deal.

People believes the devs were talking about cheating like changing system hour to trick the game, obviously don't do it. But I don't think cancelling a mission can lead us to some restrictions, the game is made this way

Not a exploit if they allow it, its their job to find a way for you not leave and reenter mission, not yours. Maybe put a timer, or decresease xp rewards...

The message about banning for exploits was mainly towards PC users setting their internal clock 2mins ahead to infinitely farm outposts when they had their 5min timer still. It is not about farming missions by aborting then restarting

Little tip/clarification on this farming method...if you have to wonder "is the way I'm farming going to get me banned" and you're still considering doing it anyway...that's your first indication that you're not all that interested in playing anymore. And/or the devs are really not invested in giving you engaging ways to acquire things. Which is a highly toxic player/dev relationship.

To those who are concerned you can do this with no risk because it is part of the game, they remove the void shard cost to summon the boss to combat those people who wait at a void shard reactor and tag the boss to open a pattern, now opening the pattern will cost you void shards, but at least finish the mission when you summon the boss when the reactor gets too much go back to albion then bsck again, also the materials you get from this is not thay important you only use it for certain descendants crafting

If you look at it aborting after a certain stage of completion is technically completing it, and you still get a drop not like the number increases, in essence it's like completing it over and over again minus the cost of the mats

Yeah with their statement being rather ambiguous it's hard to tell exactly what they would consider "abnormal gameplay" I probably won't be using these methods for the time being, but it is rather cool to see what the community has come up with.
