About the Metro Tunnel Project

The Metro Tunnel will create a new end-to-end rail line from Sunbury in the west to Cranbourne/Pakenham in the south east, with bigger and more modern trains, and 5 new stations. With testing now underway, the Metro Tunnel will open in 2025.

1. Will there be any public access to any of the station concourses, shops or facilities prior to the first day of train services starting? 2. For the stations with retail spaces, will those shops all be open on day 1 of services?
