These are my favorite teachers. When I was younger this is exactly what I wanted to be until I found out their salaries, realized student debt was a thing, learned that they pay for all their art supplies out of pocket because we are constantly defunding the arts, and school sh00tings started happening more and more frequently. Now I just feel bad for them but it’s still my dream job if things weren’t so awful.

i unironically love this kind of teacher. they always make me feel so wanted even with their “i’m sorry hun but i’m busy. i still love you but shush.” that has been an actual sentence said to me and it is much more affective than “BE QUIET OR I WILL SEND YOU TO THE OFFICE!”

My two art teachers in high school:
1- She looked about 65-70 yrs old. She wore windbreakers and ankle-weights everyday. She had permed hair and wore too much make-up (her eyelashes were always clumped together and her lipstick was never on straight).
2- She was about 45 yrs old and obsessed with David Bowie. She’d play his music everyday and on days when we weren’t working on anything, she’d play The Labyrinth.
