Let's take a short look at one of the cheapest 3D printers on the market - the TronXY X1. I assembled it on a previous LIVE stream and now did some print quality tests, where it performed very well for its price!

I just managed to get an Anycubic Mega S on Ebay for around $120us brand new. I think it was one of those auctions that slipped under the radar and I was lucky enough to win it cheap. I was looking at buying one of these Tronxy printers just to do quick two hour prints of little pla toys for a local wildlife park to give to kids. Was a lucky day lol. The kids will get toys that are actually well printed on a decent machine instead of an Ali express special.

You are lucky your kit came with all the parts, many have had missing spacers, bolts and various little bits of hardware needed to complete the build. Most of these issues can be worked around after a visit to your local hardware shops, but its worth noting not everyone has a smooth time of building.

Really interesting. Good review - and for 110$ - no complain for the print quality you've shown. Apparently you are using Fusion 360. And I think you are good at it. Have you ever thought about doing any tutorial video or at least uploading a session like designing the fan shroud? Would love to see how you design things.

Can we get your settings for it? I'm having issues calibrating mine.

Good review, part reason why i bought the printer and i'm quite satisfied with my purchase, could you share the print settings you used for that model of yourself?

Your build seems to require less mods for good prints...other I've seen required brackets, tensioner etc... Why is this? Great video :)

Hello, I know that you answer this kind of questions a lot and I know may be you mentioned it in your previous video
But as I find you recently and I cannot check all of your past videos please answer it again :
I need a 3D printer to producing fountain pen (body) and the surface of products should be smooth and layers shouldn't be visible. I don't need big printer because pens are not big. But quality is important.
What affordable printer you recommend and if you have any suggestions for material would be nice of you to tell me.
Heavy material is better because when you hold fountain pen you don't like light pen like a cheap BIC pen.
Thank you so much

You didn't even use the tensioners that remove all the wobble in the bed and x? I disagree that you need a part fan. I've printed at least 60 hours with no issues.

What is that under the stone plate that your Prusa stands on? Looks a little like Glasswool. I'm looking for something like that to make my printer more silent

i notice the printer does a slight pause when it gets to a print point, how do you do that? - i have had my TronXY for over a year now - had to straighten out the Y axis rod as it bowed over time lol.

It's a good machine. I'm torture testing it myself. Although I paid for it myself...

can i get the STL for the fan mount (just saw your comment with the fan mount, thanks), I have got the X1 for about 2 months now as my first printer and I already added a heated bed to it.

In the Video you mentioned that a heated bed could be added without huge modding ... Can you please explain this a bit more

I like your channel and we have same printers (Prusa MK2, TronXY1 and CR-10) but we have totally different opinion about these which is kinda funny :) as you are asking for opinion ... here is mine : 1) TronXY X1 ... this is definitely not worth the money ... even 110$ are too much. And it takes too much time to solve these stupid issues. If you are a beginner and never want to get into 3D printing... buy it and you will never come back to this great hobby. 2) original Prusa printers: too much hype about these ... in some points these are ok (e.g. autolevel) and MK3 is quite decent but at the end all are way too overpriced 3) CR-10(S) amazing product and best if you are a beginner or a little more advanced user. Quite perfect printer for money: electronics are safe, great quality of printer and prints, 30 minutes only too start from package open. So for me: TronXY X1 I am using for spare parts for other projects, Prusa MK2... I have multi material... but I have no real usage for it... also it does not work anymore... it is just not a quality printer like CR-10. 3) I am thinking about buying another CR-10 now because it is running 24/7 :)
