I'm impressed with what SpaceX has done in such a short time, but they aren't getting Starship to orbit in 6 months. That's a crazy timetable, even by Musk's standards. During his presentation, he even gave the evidence for why.

He said they wouldn't be building a Super-Heavy booster until after they build Starship Mk3, construction of which wasn't going to begin for another month or so. He also said it takes them approximately 8-10 days to build a single Raptor Engine. They're gonna need at least 30 Raptors in total according to Musk (6 Raptors on the Starship, 24 on Super-Heavy -- if they intend to launch a rocket with no cargo). So even if we give SpaceX only 8 days to build each engine, it would take them 8 months to build 30 of them. Longer if there are manufacturing delays. And that's only assuming that construction and testing of the Mk1, Mk2, and Mk3 actually go according to plan.

So if he gets this thing into orbit in 6 months, he's a friggin wizard.
