Trump Refuses To Stop Lying About His Insane Trade War

Показать описание
Donald Trump’s entire trade war with the rest of the world is based on outright lies and fabrications, and the entire world knows it. The problem is that Trump keeps doubling down on all of his lies, adding to them and exaggerating things worse with each day. This week alone he claimed that the United States doesn’t “buy anything from Europe,” which is clearly a lie based on our trade deficit with them. But that’s just one of many false realities that Trump has created to soothe himself into thinking he’s doing the right thing. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

What I'm gonna say right now is not gonna come as a shock to anybody watching this. Donald Trump lies all the time. Okay? We get that. We know that. Let's get that outta the way right now. We all know that Donald Trump lies about anything and everything often for no reason at all. It's who he is. It's what he does. But the lies that he continues to tell to the public in order to sell his trade war to us, to somehow convince us that the market's crashing and prices rising is good for us, is getting out of control. In just the last week, Donald Trump has told some insane lies about trade deficits and the mathematical formulas used to come up with the tariffs. It's all bull crap. 100% bull crap. But he says it just like breathing. That's how easily this man lies to us. So let's examine just a few of the lies he has told just this week on Sunday, a board Air Force one, right when he is showing off that little, oh, got the Trump gold card thing.
Um, he also talked to reporters about the horrible trade deficits with China, which he said, we have a $1 trillion trade deficit with China. The reporters didn't push back. Nobody challenged it. Nobody questioned it. Oh, we got a trillion dollar trade deficit. Holy crap. Yeah, that's bad. The truth is, we have a less than $400 billion trade deficit with China. In fact, during the Biden administration, that trade deficit actually went down. It was higher in Trump's first term, and Biden brought it down, huh? Kind of makes you think that maybe the tariffs don't work. And that was just one of the lies about China, that Donald Trump told. He also then said that China has happily paid the tariffs that he put on them during his Trump, uh, uh, first administration, excuse me. Except that that also didn't happen. China doesn't pay the tariffs. The the companies in the US that brought those goods in, they make the payments to the US government.
So two major lies that, again, reporters didn't push back on. I guess they were afraid of being kicked off Air Force One possibly while it's in the air. Uh, you know, I, I get that fear, but if you can't stand up to the people you're talking to as a reporter, then you shouldn't be a reporter. You know, go, go find a different line of work because you suck. You gotta have a little bit of a backbone. And nobody in this press pool seems to have one. But that's nothing compared to the lies that Donald Trump told about the European Union. He said, quote, they don't take our cars, they don't take our food
Products, they don't take anything. And we take their cars, Mercedes, Volkswagen, BMW, you know, we take their millions of cars. They take no cars. They don't take our farm product, they don't take anything. So the US doesn't send anything to the European Union. They just don't buy it. Right? And if that's the case, then could somebody explain to me why the European Union bought $649 billion worth of US goods last year alone? Because that's the number $649 billion the European Union purchased in goods from the United States for the year 2024. And Trump's over there saying they don't take anything. They took over half a trillion dollars of stuff from us, not took they purchased. I mean, hell over half a trillion dollars. They're propping up entire industries at that point. And yeah, they do take billions of dollars worth of our farm products every year. They take billions of dollars worth of our cars every year. But again, reporters didn't push back.
