While I hate this kind of things as they're going to be used to cause death, I do admire the incredible tech involved and required to make this.

They could reduce the runway size even smaller than a traditional aircraft carrier's, and ramp up the power until it starts putting the aircraft's structure at risk.
There is no squishy human that needs to be protected from extreme Gee forces.
