I love the knitting community, I think that is my favorite thing about knitting.

So nice to spend time with you in the early hours this morning. Please don't apologise for being you, knitting for pleasure of talking about God. You always make it clear its at the end, and if its not somebody's cup of tea that's ok. Maybe one day there might just be some person who needs encouragement or that tiny seed. When I watch you I imagine we are having a cuppa (maybe a virtual one) you are super cheerful and your face just lights up with Gods' word. You have a busy life, two children who need you especially during these really challenging times, your husband, home and your vocation. Please please do not be so hard on yourself, enjoy your knitting and remember what advice you would give somebody in your situation. Do not let anybody bring you down my friend. Here end the lesson! I just wish I could knit as fast as you xxx

I say go with the Rowan! Honestly, do what you want, but I think the beautiful texture of the pattern will be so good with that yarn.

Hi Dear Ruth ! I know that I am repetitive here, yet, I again must tell you how utterly delightful you are, and how truly I relish these visits ! GORRRGEOUS knitting and plans ahead. That wedding shawl will be STUNNING Regarding the Sweater - I'd go for your visceral reaction - the second swatch - used for the grass - you KNOW that this is the yarn /weight that you will ENJOY knitting this particular sweater in. Knitting should be, above all, your happy place - fun. If you are trying to make it work.... odds are you will be frustrated and it will end up in the naughty corner, or languishing, or frogged ! Dear Ruth, thank you for your tender, wise words. With the state of affairs globally - one can EASILY be discouraged and overwhelmed with sadness. These days, it seems the presence of upcoming tragedy(s) looms over each sunrise and an anxiety /despair closes your eyes at end of day. Thank you for reminding that there is a ' turn over - turn to ' option that can be opted for. Navigating ones humanness through this world of ours is just daunting . Thanks for another great podcast. What a privilege to be asked to make a wedding shawl. I made one last year and was so flattered and proud to see the bride wearing it on her big day. Every time I see the photos, I remember how important it was for her and that I wrapped her in love. Be strong and keep praying, and I’m praying for you too ❤️

Hi Ruth, all lovely as usual. The girls best friend is a lovely pattern. I loved making it and one of my favourites to wear.
I'm busy making the outline wrap to wear at our daughter's Easter wedding. Using silk and mohair yarn that Andy dyed up perfectly to complement my outfit. They've waited 2years for their special day. Covid hit 2weeks before the original date. Lots of joy and excitement being knitted into this project.

My Mum used to say he never gives us more than we can bear and I can still hear her singing What a friend we have in Jesus, which I only just realised that she may have been drawing strength from those words and reading scripture. We all have a wobble in our faith but I hope you find strength in his words, she did. I love to see your knitting and perserve with the crochet your tension will even out. Angie

I would not knit a lot of cables with Plutolopi, I’ve never used it, but you showed us it is fragile . That would be a recipe for frustration. We knit to relax, not to stress.. God keep you in his care.

Such good reminders, Ruth, that we can always bring everything to God in prayer.. and how I know, and am ashamed, to agree with you that I often want to moan and gossip to someone who will agree with me.. then I am convicted and go to the Lord in repentance. But.. then I do it again. Will I ever learn to open my heart to Him but close my mouth to others! Ugh! Thankful for His grace and mercy each day.
