I lost my two sons in 99 - one day I lay down on a day couch and fell asleep - and there stood my two sons in front of me - my youngest was standing back a bit - we knew what we were each thinking - he wanted me to know he was standing back because I got to stand by him for 5 days (he was on live support for 5 days before he was declared brain dead and he was an organ donor) my oldest died within minutes of the wreck. They were gorgeous - and oh my goodness - I'd never seen them so happy! They kept saying "Oh mom, you won't believe" over and over! I knew where they were - and they were so happy. And one day, I'll see them "in Heaven"! My oldest reached out and took my left hand with his right and squeezed it. I knew I was fixing to wake up. When I woke up, I jumped up and ran through the house crying and praising the Lord - I got to see my fella's blue eyes one more time! The Lord is gracious! Love love this song. Dear Austin, Each time that I listen to your arrangement of this song, I cry tears of sadness and joy. On 1 December 2020, I lost my husband of 38 years to COVID-19. It was a strange, surreal time, and I had to fight hospital administrators who were reluctant to let me be with my husband as he went to our Lord. This was one of my husband's and my favorite songs, one the comforted us when we lost our child. Now, because of you, it brings me comfort, especially on those days when I am missing both of my loved ones. Thank you!
