The Cape-Colorado-Combat (C3) Global Trauma Network is a collaborative of trauma researchers and clinical providers in the Western Cape of South Africa, University of Colorado, and the U.S. Department of Defense. The network, led by Dr. Mould-Millman is comprised of 10 clinical research sites in the Western Cape: 4 hospitals, 4 ambulance bases, and 2 forensic and pathology labs. The C3 Global Trauma Network conducts NIH and U.S. Department of Defense funded research that seeks to fill real-world clinical and practice gaps for both injured civilians and military personnel. In this webinar, we will provide a case study of a hybrid type II implementation-effectiveness trial conducted in a busy emergency medical services organization within the C3 Network. We will show data to illustrate how a practical intervention and pragmatic implementation strategy helped to strengthen local trauma care while simultaneously building local expertise and generating evidence for South Africans, the U.S. military, and injured civilians worldwide.

The C3 Global Trauma Network is supported by the CU Center for COMBAT Research, led by Dr. (Colonel) Bebarta. The Center for COMBAT Research collaborates with CU investigators and U.S. military researchers and agencies on a range of relevant trauma and acute care topics to solve the US military's toughest clinical challenges with practical solutions.
