Hi! I bought alpaca meat-bone-organ mix from hare today. I defrosted in one day (day 1). Next day mixed in alnutrin and froze all but 4 ounces (day 2). I put the 4 ounces in my fridge to begin mixing in a little into my cats wet food to transition them. One day after mixing in alnutrin, the meat began turning brown in my fridge (day 3). Is it unsafe to feed??

Hi,   You said in other videos that meat meal in ingredients means it contains rendered meat, is that still the case when it specifically says Duck meal or turkey meal ect. or just when it generically says “meat meal”?
I definitely don’t want to give rendered meat aka shelter animals to my cats!! But my cats dry food which isn’t supposed to be their main food, they do get a can of wet food 3x a day to share (they’re very large, not fat just big cats) but earlier this year their wet food was unavailable for months and we could only find one other wet food that my cat with IBS could have and neither of them liked it, they both started eating more and more dry food unfortunately, but one of them especially got super addicted to the dry food and even though we finally got their regular wet food back, he still wants mostly dry food, slowly he’s eating more wet. But now their dry food is being discontinued and I have to find something new, but I see different kinds of meat meal in every single dry food so I’m really hoping that when it says a specific meat, like Duck meal, chicken meal, turkey meal, etc, rather then just “meat meal” that it hopefully doesn’t mean it’s rendered meat, otherwise every dry food has rendered meat?? Even the insanely expensive Dr Eysly’s (sp?) clean protein dry food has different meat meals in it. I’m very confused! Please help, I need to find something asap! Thank you so much!!

I think hare today is the only place I’ve seen that has whole ground animal for cat food. Have not found one (yet) that is readily available in Canada. Most is just meat organ and bone.

hello! sorry for the random question here but i am 18 and have my first cat, she just turned one year old last week! i am trying to get her on a raw diet, but since im in college and dont have alot of money my mom usually buys her canned food currently. she doesnt eat dry food at all just wet and i usually feed her tiki cat after dark but im not sure if i am giving her correct amounts? i see so many different things of people saying they give their cat one 2.8 oz can, and some people say the give their cat up to 3 5.5 oz cans per day, what would be a good amount for a 7 lb cat?
