What do you recommend that I try to haul with a 1998 Toyota Tacoma SR5 pick up which has a little longer bed than a 2024 model? Bought the truck September 1997 to haul stuff home from Home Depot, save gas when commuting, and it fit into our garage. Does not fit so many pallets at a time but it could carry most sofas and maybe most pianos but I am 68, not as strong as used to be, and not ready to hire a helper yet. Need to build some cash reserve and learn how to calculate with holdings from paychecks, study up on labor laws, get a disability insurance policy, and gather information for a check off list of all that to start with. In other words, not yet at the beginning of hiring anybody.

Maybe could go back and work as a security guard on a permanent regular basis after getting cataract and varicose veins removed and then manage to save about $100 a week off that to save $5, 200 a year. Social Security not enough. Never was meant to be. At the moment hauling with a truck looks more lucrative that security guarding and maybe could be on own my schedule to work around these medical treatments. Looks like could make money to replace my old truck. Probably could help me stay younger longer. Also did interior demolition up to about a year ago. Gives asthma. Some people stop working because they get old. Others get old because they stop working.

So interested in what you youngsters have to say about what you would try to haul with my truck and about what ever else you want to say.
